“Working with Almar Building & Remodeling on our first-floor beach house remodel in Duxbury, MA was truly an exciting and positive experience. We wanted to make the space into something that reflected our own family's personality as well as rekindling childhood memories of my own times at the beach. Almar worked with us on every detail to give us exactly what we were looking for, right down to the smallest detail.
One of the best features Almar presented to us, was their design team. From the first meeting to the final good-bye, the design team was right there bringing the space to life with drawings, computer generated photos, and inspiration. They listened to our ideas, thoughts, and visions and assisted in bringing it all to life within the space. And when something couldn't be done, the team worked with us in every aspect for an alternative to meet our vision.
Everyone that worked with us was professional, thoughtful, and were very focused on communication. At our very first meeting, Craig presented us with so many wonderful ideas, and kept us focused with what would be within our budget or would be outside our budget. He offered his thoughts, and guided us through pros and cons of each decision. Our Project Manager, Nolan, was more than just an Almar employee. He became a true friend keeping open communication, giving daily updates with photos, and presenting meticulous attention to every detail. He also kept the project on it's timeline and when a delay occurred, he called us to discuss the next steps.
A truly special highlight of the project was our fireplace in the living room. We really wanted a fireplace that looked like our children picked rocks up along the beach to build it. Nolan and Jessica became just as involved in this project as we were, right down to deciding who the mason would be and making sure the stone color was perfect. They even brought us in to look at the stone pattern as it was being made. It turned out to be such a beautiful and heartfelt centerpiece for our home!
Almar uses Buildertrend, an online platform, which made staying organized and tracking updates so easy. Almar also provides a the wealth of informational resources, Q&A documents, and articles all on Buildertrend that was so helpful to us. Questions were answered before we even thought of them and the platform provided reassurance as the project progressed.
We are so happy with our new living space and are so appreciative to everyone at Almar!”
“Excellent staff, from our first foreman on site, Bill, with what I call the demo crew to the several men who joined the process of digging, pitching and grading to the necessary but tedious hand operated rolling machine at the end, for the finished product. Everyone was kind, hardworking, respectful and cleaned up so well at the end, you would never know they were there.”
