We've just completed the process of working with KAKS for the finishing of the basement of our house. I cannot say enough good things about working with Steve and every member of the KAKS team. After interviewing many contractors for the project, we decided to go with KAKS because Steve immediately seemed familiar with the many potential pitfalls of our particular basement situation. We hired KAKS to refinish our basement in Plymouth in the first half of 2021. The house was built in 1971 and had a reasonably modern slab, but the basement was otherwise completely unfinished -- just mechanical space and an old workbench. Steve and his team turned it into a bedroom, family room with a wet bar, 3/4 bath, laundry room and storage room. Their approach is based on a template: standard type of shower, one style of lights, etc. And that was all fine, because they're good quality building materials. It was a pleasure doing business with KAKS. Steve Sweeney and his team were very professional and did a great job finishing our basement. From our initial meeting, Steve listened to our needs and presented a complete proposal. He executed that proposal on a timely basis. Because of his honesty, expertise and responsiveness, I would definitely recommend hiring KAKS. We're very happy with our basement.
