“We worked with Top Notch Contracting on the construction of our new high-performance home in the Berkshires, designed around Passive House principles and built with an Ecocor panelized shell. This was a technically demanding project that required close coordination among the contractor, design team, panel manufacturer and multiple trades.
Mike, Moses and the Top Notch team brought a strong understanding of high-performance construction and paid close attention to the building envelope, air sealing, insulation and mechanical systems. Just as importantly, there was never an instance when we did not feel that Mike and Moses were looking out for our best interests and genuinely wanted to make sure the project was a success.
As both the interior designer and the homeowner, I will admit that my expectations for the finished details were extremely high. Mike, Moses and their team worked closely with me throughout the process and never treated those details as insignificant. Whether it was making sure every tile was laid correctly, every transition was carefully considered, every painted wall had a clean, precise edge, or that the finished installation reflected the original design intent, they understood that these details mattered.
