“May 8, 2026 updated review: Today Drybar Mandeville goes from 1 star to 5 stars. I decided to give this place another shot. It was the right choice. From the moment I walked in, the lady who owns the place, who is truly the sweetest person in the world, treated me like royalty. Brought me a towel to dry off. Brought me a perfectly ice cold glass of water. Even brought me delicious, locally made lollipops! (The one that tasted like toffee was absolutely divine.) As to the young lady who did my hair. I don’t know if they called in someone from HQ because they knew the chick who gave the 1 star review was coming back in, or what, but this gal was on point. The shampoo felt like a massage, and I didn’t even get the actual add-on massage. Sitting in her chair was also a treat. Just a very relaxing experience. She not only made my hair look absolutely beautiful (went with the Cosmo), but she was super efficient. They had me in and out in no time flat. These folks went out of their way to meet my expectations, and exceeded them in every way today. This is what “above and beyond” looks like. The owner even comped the entire service. Which I definitely didn’t deserve because I was incredibly rude last time.

I feel terrible about doing this, but I can only give this place 1 star. I have been to Drybar in Baton Rouge as well as locations in other states, so I certainly have something to compare my experience at the Mandeville location to. I only decided to write this review after my second negative experience at this location. Back in February 2025, I scheduled an appointment with my sister in law. Long story short, they were short staffed and couldn’t fit me in. I had just been there the day before, and wanted them to wash out the glitter they applied to my hair for Mardi Gras. Unfortunately, I had to go home and wash it out myself. And fix my own hair. In their defense, they did offer me a free future service, but I didn’t accept it. Fast forward to November 2025. They were running late again. Appointment started 15 minutes after scheduled time. I was on a tight timeline, and had a hard stop, so she only had 45 minutes to do my hair. I didn’t have time to look through the style book. I asked her to just do a straight style. We then headed to the wash basins for a shampoo. She just seemed like she was in another world. It didn’t feel like she was really washing it. Then she basically dried it. No real style to it. Actually still felt wet when I left. Definitely wasn’t worth the $45 I spent. Retrain current staff and hire additional staff. That would be a good start.“
