Everyone was unbelievably kind, from the receptionist to the nurse to the doctor and especially the manager (thank you, from the bottom of my heart). They all made sure my dear girl felt the warmth and love of not just her family, but everyone she came into contact with on her final day. I lost my best friend, but it was moving to see so many great humans rallying to help, even though we were completely new and they never met us before. It restored some hope on a very dark day. Thank you Ark. May all furry friends feel the love and compassion my girl did on their last day.“

They offer home euthanization for your babies. Dr. Edmond and vet tech Nikkie came to my house and was so caring to my family and of course Luna. Dr. Edmond was very thorough, explained everything I needed to know and gave us as much time as we needed with Luna. Thanks for taking care of my girl (and me because I was a mess). Melanie Hymel“

6245 Memphis St, New Orleans“We moved to New Orleans and were struggling to find a vet we liked, but we love love love the team at Lakeview.
We have two French Bulldogs which always comes with extra complications/vet bills and Dr. Goldman and Dr. Guichard are both incredibly helpful with brachycephalic dog breed specific issues. They really go the extra mile to make sure your pet is taken care of and they are also aware of avoiding extra costs.
We have done our routine care with them as well as two surgeries, can’t recommend them enough.“

704 W Esplanade Ave, Kenner“Chateau Veterinary Hospital was absolutely amazing—especially if you’re traveling internationally with a pet, or honestly, if you just need an exceptional vet.
They handled our international health certificate for our dog, Chester, and our cat, Muscade, and made what is usually a very stressful process feel completely manageable. Summer Stein was our main point of contact, and she is truly an expert when it comes to international travel paperwork. Dr. Fraser completed the health screening, and the entire process was seamless.
One huge bonus that not many people realize: if you’re traveling with two pets, they can be listed on one health certificate. That alone saved us time, money, and unnecessary stress.
Before finding Chateau, I had reached out to several clinics and felt overwhelmed and unsure. The moment Summer answered my call, I felt confident we were in the right hands—and I was right. We arrived in France with zero issues.
One very important tip for anyone traveling internationally with pets: yes, the health certificate must be validated within 10 days of travel, but your vet appointment should be scheduled at least one month before your departure. This allows enough time for the USDA to process, endorse, and mail everything back to you. Summer guided us through this timing perfectly.
I also really appreciated that they had us test anti-anxiety medication before travel to ensure the correct dosage. Best advice ever. It made a world of difference knowing exactly what Chester needed—and to be clear, these are not tranquilizers, which are forbidden for international travel. We even had to recheck Chester in Paris for our connecting flight to Nice. He refused additional medication at that point but still did very well. There were no issues—no barking, no complaints from airline staff, and he remained calm throughout the entire process. He was understandably nervous by the time we picked him up in Nice, but he was completely okay. I was nervous about giving him medication in the first place, but testing it ahead of time and following their guidance truly paid off.
Another thing worth mentioning: Chester is an anxious dog when it comes to vet visits. He’s sweet—not aggressive—just scared. The team handled his exam and vaccinations with patience, calm, and confidence. They clearly know how to work thoughtfully with nervous animals, and that meant a lot to us.
I also really appreciated that they offer happy visits, where you can stop in without an appointment just to help your pet feel comfortable with the vet and environment—no exam, no stress, just positive exposure.
Beyond all of that, this is simply an outstanding veterinary office. Everyone is incredibly kind, organized, professional, welcoming, and knowledgeable—what more could you ask for? It’s clearly a locally owned practice, not a corporate chain, and that shows in every interaction. I had a terrible experience at a corporate vet prior to this, and honestly, I’m grateful for it because it led me to Chateau Veterinary Hospital.
Thank you so much to the entire team at Chateau Veterinary Hospital. We truly couldn’t have done this without you. We’re now happily settled and enjoying our life in France.“

We just moved to the French Quarter and how wonderful there is an awesome Vet Clinic blocks away from our home with amazing doctors and staff. Highly recommend. And know they are kind and Dr Bret is thorough, communicates well and gives options if there are some. We appreciated the explanation what each test would determine in helping diagnose our furry child.“

I feel confident and comfortable with each doctor. They all take the time to get to know the patient and their human and it is evident that they care. I never feel rushed and they always take the time to answer any and all questions. Whenever asked about a vet, I jump to recommend CCVH!“

Dr. Dodson and her team were so kind and patient! As an anxious cat parent with high expectations for his care, the Cat Practice really put my mind at ease. I can’t say enough thanks to Dr. Dodson and my vet tech, Ms. Tabitha, for being so kind and working so well with Oliver. Having a clinic dedicated to just cats truly makes a huge difference. The whole team (including the amazing front staff) were very thorough and communicative. The attention to detail and kindness ensures me that I’ve found the perfect clinic for him!“

91 Westbank Expy suite 540, Gretna“We were referred to this Vet office from our Austin Vet office. That was in 2022; it is now 2025, and we could not be any happier. We have a Siberian Husky and a German Shepard. The office staff is absolutely amazing and very prompt in responding to emails and phone calls. I cannot think of a time when I called for an urgent visit that the office squeezed us in within 24 hours. Not emergent since it is not a pet emergency facility, but they do have relationships with several emergency locations on the East and West Bank. Prices are reasonable, and by no means do they try to add miscellaneous things to increase charges. They are very transparent about their services, as well as their prices.“

3501 S Carrollton Ave, New Orleans“We have been coming to Carrollton vet with our dog since our old vet(s) retired, after we searched for years for another amazing private vet practice. Dr Algero is caring and knowledgeable. He is patient in explaining what he believes might be going on, the tests (if any) necessary, next steps, any meds he thinks might help, side effects, etc, and always a clear explanation of why and our options. Vets like Dr Algero are the best - they only care about what's best for your pet and work with you all the way. They are walk-in only, but they are clear about that and they let you know if there's a long wait (emergency ahead of you) or other factors. Their rates are very reasonable imo. I know they treat her well and compassionately when she goes to the back with them, which is important to us. His assistants (Nester & Jerry) are involved, always gentle and greet Belle so she's never balked at going back or being handled by them. They are prompt answering their phones, return calls when they say they will and Pam at the front desk always gets me whatever documentation I need when I ask.“

The staff was so very nice in every way possible. But the doctor was superb as well. Very professional and extreme bedside manner. My poor dog developed an infection and Dr. Jack was just amazing. I was so very upset when she developed an infection. But Dr. Jack stood there after hours to help me get her on the right track. Dr. Jack showed me his true professionalism and caring for my animal. I can’t thank Dr. Jack enough I just love him! He got my baby back up and running. I would HIGHLY ,HIGHLY recommend Dr. Jack. Thank you Dr. Jack for caring so very much not only for caring for my dog, but for taking care of me when I was so very upset.“

“River Road Veterinary took such great care of my girl, Zoe Jolie. Thank you to Dr. Brignac and staff for getting through what may be the worst part of 2026 and beyond - saying good bye to my good girl on 2/4/26. I recommend River Road Veterinary to anyone who has a pet they love and care for. This place shows the same love and compassion to your pet and you. Reasonably priced but your can't put a price on the care of your fur baby. It may be a while to heal from losing my Zoe but I'll be fine. I will always be greatful to River Road Veterinary.“
