“We take our dogs to see Dr. Sund at AVC. We previously felt as though vet visits at another office were just “check offs” for the vet to get through. This is not the case with Dr. Sund, she is incredibly kind and knowledgeable and treats our pets like family. Our dogs truly enjoy seeing her. She takes her time, gets to know our pets and us as well. We trust her completely and value her knowledge and care for our pets. I cannot say enough good things about her and I would recommend her to anyone.“

“I had to leave for Canada for a week, and instead of worrying about my two boys, Figgy and Baby Emilio, I left them at KC Ruff Ranch. It was one of the best decisions I could have made.

From the moment I dropped them off, the staff was kind, friendly, and professional. They answered my questions promptly, and if someone didn't know the answer, they quickly found the person who did. It was obvious they genuinely cared about both the pets and their owners.

The biggest compliment I can give KC Ruff Ranch came when I picked the boys up. They cried the entire way out of the facility and all the way back to the truck—and they're still complaining! I think they were telling me they had an absolute blast and weren't quite ready to leave all their new friends.

Their reception staff and vet techs are also fabulous, and they help my pets feel as calm and comfortable as possible with minimal waiting room time and expert handling. We've visited for all types of care, including wellness check-ups, sick visits, and dental cleanings and extractions. I always recommend this vet clinic to anyone who asks!“

“If I could give them 10 stars I would! Our dog, Bennie, absolutely loves spending time there. The staff is incredibly friendly and he gets so excited when we pull up. The staff know him by name when he walks in. They def do a great job keeping the dogs busy because Bennie is always tired when he gets home from a fun day at Dogtopia. “I just recently started coming here within the last few months because I wanted a new primary physician for my two cats and hadn't found one I was willing to call my veterinary team yet. I remembered living nearby in the past and how highly recommended they were by neighbors, so I started bringing my kitten here for his follow up shots and wellness checks. I wish I could remember the name of his vet, but can only brag about how loving and gentle she was to him! I had already decided after his two first kitten appointments that this would be the place I'd call home. It's affordable and every staff member shows so much love and care for every animal that walks through their doors.

To that point, my elderly cat (who had never been to this vet before) had taken up ill this last week and on a whim I called (and immediately started crying, worried about my cat) asking if there was a free appointment slot this last tuesday (day of). The person who answered the phone, Jenny, was the most KIND receptionist I've ever had the genuine pleasure of speaking with. She heard me start crying and told me "I'm here for you", which meant a world of difference for me in that moment. She then got with the vets and tried to switch around schedules to get my cat in ASAP, then promptly called me back, found a different day to schedule, gave me all the information I needed to feel good about keeping my kitty home for another day, and recommended urgent cares I could take her to for peace of mind if waiting a day would be harder for me. The compassion shown just in that interaction meant a world of difference. and calmed me down significantly.

At my cat's appointment yesterday, I told Dr. Wallis that I was worried about my cat's symptoms but only had about $400 to my name to take care of my kitty at that point in time. She was wildly understanding and very quickly worked up a treatment plan that worked for my budget but that would also do everything reasonably possible to help my cat in that moment. She stuck to it, didn't try to upsell anything (as others have mentioned for some reason), and it was finished within the hour. She got my cat exactly what she needed within the hour and I'm here writing this review right now because my cat is already back to acting more like herself thanks to the compassion and expertise she showed us. I could jump for joy seeing her already improving and knowing that my cat is in such good hands every time I'm there.

All in all, I moved to Kansas City and still drive to this veterinary office because the quality of care I've received every time I've been here has been genuine and phenomenal every time I've set foot inside, from the front desk to the doctors and everyone in between. You will not find another practice that cares so genuinely about your pets that is so understanding and reasonable on price anywhere that I can think of. I can't thank every staff member here enough for the love and relief they've brought me in the few months since I've made it my primary clinic.

“Everyone here was extremely kind and helpful. The doctor was amazingly patient with our dog, who was not wanting to be examined despite not feeling well. While waiting we watched the cutest and happiest dogs get dropped off for daycare. Will definitely recommend.“
