About Sycamore Springs

Sycamore Springs offers inpatient mental health and addiction treatment, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programming in Lafayette, Indiana. The facility provides evidence-based treatment for adolescents and adults, addressing concerns including depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and addiction. It features specialized programs like Help for Heroes for frontline professionals and a Women's Only Program. Reviews describe a mostly good experience overall. Many staff members, including techs, nurses, and doctors, are frequently noted as kind, personable, professional, amazing, and heartwarming. They are described as listening to patients and promptly adjusting medications when needed. The front desk staff is noted as super nice, welcoming, sweet, bubbly, and kind. Patients found the treatment refreshing and appreciated the structured daily schedule. The group, art therapy, and music therapy programs are available and enjoyed by many. The food receives consistent praise, called great and some of the best cooking, with thanks to the kitchen team. However, the experience is not perfect. Some note that loud or irate patients are not always dealt with quickly, which can be triggering. Visiting hours are limited to 6-7 p.m., a time described as very difficult and nearly impossible for many families with other obligations, potentially limiting important family support. While movie nights are advertised, they may not happen. There can be occasional issues with staff, described as "a few ducks," and rare procedural concerns, such as handling a patient's foot injury. The facility can be boring without personal phones, but the staff is friendly and helpful.

Was here for about a month. It's not a perfect experience, but it was mostly good for me. Logan and Malia (Malea? Sorry if I misspelled.) are literal angels on earth. Kacey (Casey?) is the tough love girlie and helped me a lot on my first day. Most of the techs and nurses are kind and personable. The doctors listened to me and promptly adjusted when meds were or weren't working.

I enjoyed the group and art therapy programs. Couldn't bring myself to do music therapy (didn't wanna cry lol). The food was great, thank you to the team in the kitchen.

I knock off a star for personal reasons. Being that, sometimes, loud or irate patients are not dealt with. I come...read full review

I admitted myself here a few years ago, the staff was very kind and caring but as a self admittance patient I was very aware of the lack of any sort of security, I'm a decent sized man myself but to feel like if something happend I'd have to help the smaller female nurses incase of an incident with anyone close to my size is unsettling and not what I'm there for.
