We have now worked with Strategem for two separate projects (updating an entire two bedroom and two bathroom condo, including refinishing the flooring) and have been very happy. This was a significant investment, but we are extremely happy we made it and choose Habitar/Strategem. We found the process from start to finish to be very transparent and clearly communicated. Customer service was outstanding. Both jobs were on-time and on-budget.
Process and cost: Mitch was very clear up front with the range of costs for the projects and both the estimate and final billing included details of both materials and labor. This allowed for clear communication about costs and options for ways to reduce cost and what we could expect from the change to our plan.
Construction: The team on-site each time communicated clearly about the timeline and progress, when certain things would occur and orchestrated all of the pieces of the process for us, including the movers when it was time to refinish the floors. When something unexpected came up, they communicated with us about options and expectations of the result. If we wanted something changed, they modified it until we were happy with the result.
The team was exceptional and we would highly recommend them!
I saw these guys installing a new commercial roof at a major business in Rockford and they were getting the job done. No yard signs, no inflatable rats, just hard work, despite the money hungry thugs hanging out in the front yard. Well done. :-)
Went there to ask a simple question about installing a switch/outlet I was having trouble with. Although I didn’t get his name I assume he was the owner or boss. He really went out of his way to explain what I needed to do and showed me how. Great customer service. Will definitely be back.

My daughter celebrated her 7th birthday here, and it was one of the best experiences! She and her friends couldn’t stop talking about how much fun they were having. From bear stuffing, facials, and manicures to dress-up, fashion shows, and even a little “cheers” with juice. It truly felt like a core memory for little girls.

We hired this company to replace our crumbling front stairs, the curved front walkway, another set of stairs, rebuild the retaining wall in concrete, and install new railings.
Fidel and Daniel were responsive and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. They took the time to answer all of our questions. The level of communication and customer service stood out to me and showed me how much they care about the quality of their work.
The new concrete, retaining walls, and railings look amazing. We are getting compliments on it. Everything was completed professionally, and the finished product is functional and beautiful.

Best in the business! As a Facility Manager at an entertainment venue under construction. One of many assignments I was elected to engage, was creating the punch list for the trades. Huen Electric being 1 out of 12 different trades. Their installation from transformer, power station, several hundred programmable LED light fixtures, as well as Miles of cable running through a three story 27° radius venue, had little to no corrections. At this particular build it’s not uncommon that we purchased all of our material. This venue is a high-end LEED certified building. Some of the material that was engineered clearly was counter productive. If Scott White just followed his scope of work we would’ve never obtained the acceptable score needed to win our LEED certification. Scott White was able to make all the necessary corrections. Scott kept me in the loop every step of the way, and I was never invoiced an additional penny. After this venue was awarded the LEED certification. I mentioned Huen Electric as being a major contributor. Scott continued to honor all warranty issues that included most failures being of sub-par material. I’ve worked several new construction sites thru my 25 years. Having Scott White representing Huen Electric and all the IBEW brother’s and sister’s that utilize their skill-set. Continue to keep Huen Electric a substantial leader in this industry. Thank you for all the effort, transparency, and help.

It's not often you have the opportunity to or are even wanting to write a review for a roofing company, but when it presents itself... Clark has been our roofer for a 34 townhome complex for a while - 30+ years possibly. We have been nursing a flat 34 year old roof along (that they did) for the past few years. This roof was WELL past its lifespan and a testament to the prior work Clark did. When it was clearly necessary we needed it replaced, Tom F. was incredible throughout the recommendation and proposal process. He hopped on a Board call to explain the pros/cons of the partial removal of the old roof to lay down the new as opposed to a full replacement. He even stayed on hand when necessary during the work project when things got complicated (skylights leaking, decisions about venting pipes and clearstory windows). Day to day was Mateo. Mateo and his team were THE most patient group, as we managed through the year long project (we asked to spread the work out as best we could for various reasons), dealing with multiple calls from me asking them to also manage the association members requests (walk quieter, move the ladder, sweep up debris). They take care of their workers (calling off when their is any potential bad weather to keep them safe, working SO hard to keep everyone working (we rearranged our schedule when they had another job wrap up early to ensure their folks had a full weeks work), and everyone on site was always super friendly and responsive. There will ALWAYS be something with any vendor you work with. Finding a roofing company that treats their projects like partnerships is incredibly rare. While I joke with Mateo that I hope I never have to talk with him again, as the roof will probably outlive me (!!!!!!), I miss our daily email updates and occasional calls to each other. Additionally, Clark's entire rest of the team (Pam, Lizette and more) is equally gracious, friendly and full of humor - something needed when you're dealing with a roof replacement!
Dr Gil and Char make a great team. They were able to squeeze me in on a Saturday morning. Char was great over the phone and warm and welcoming once we arrived. Dr Gil took the time to address all concerns and explained everything he was doing. Highly recommended. Your fur baby will be in great hands.
I HIGHLY Recommend JC Movers! They were so patient and amazing. I needed help with a move of 3 pallets to a distribution center, and we did not know the process or wait time and they waited for over 4 hours without question to help me get my pallets in the warehouse. They were super sweet and efficient. I would give a 10/5 if I could!

I recently had my brother’s funeral services through Wallace Funeral Home. They are truly amazing. Carita and Rory’s help throughout the entire process meant the world to me. Planning my brother’s funeral was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. The compassion and empathy that was shown to my family and I was truly remarkable. They went above and beyond to make sure my brother’s funeral was beautiful and it was. The Nason family will forever be grateful to you all. I love the way they braid.. I always have DeeDee to braid my hair and she is great. Her and her staff always has a pleasant attitude even if someone is trying to get loud they stay calm. Plus Their prices are reasonable. Please go visit them you will not regret!
