Allowed me to text pix of the injury prior to my scheduling time with them at the very end of their day. They were so accommodating and their team was so attentive not only to my dog, but to me too!! “Took our newest family member in for her first vet visit. They were very helpful and understanding of the situation. They made me feel better about her health and got her vaccines taken care of. We have a booster shot set up for 3 weeks and to do one more test. She is healthy and happy. The staff was very friendly and professional.“

“I have been taking my sweet boy to this office since I first moved here in 2018, and I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. This review is LONG overdue but Dr. Bishop and Dr. Lopiccolo really go out of their way and take their time to make sure your animals are well taken care of! Both of my pups hate having their nails trimmed (and they are definitely not easy to deal with), but the doctors and staff have never made me feel like they were a headache to deal with (even though I definitely know they are lol).

Absolutely love how dedicated they are to making sure you and your babies feel comfortable and at ease. Earlier today my pup ripped his nail off and I was so worried ( not knowing how serious it was or wasn’t) and Dr. Bishop found time to fit me in first thing in the morning so I could still make it to work and also make sure my baby was ok. He got my pup all wrapped up and even found time to complete all his shots that he was due for so I didn’t need to bring him back next week. Not only that, but he will always go out of his way to offer any assistance you might need to make the appointments run smoother.

They treated an abscess and took the time to show me exactly how to give his antibiotic injections at home, which made me feel confident and supported instead of overwhelmed. Both of them were incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely kind. They explained everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and never made me feel rushed.

“Great service and they are great with scheduling my dog in whenever anything comes up. Everyone is very friendly, Dr. Kopija is great with my dog, very understanding and happy to see him. I love that they always follow up a few days later to check how my pup is doing.

Updating this to say we still love Dr. Kopija. We now have two dogs and are very happy with their services. I also like that they often run sales for the yearly tick meds so it is great to do a one stop shop for their annual visit and meds.“

“My experience with Downer's Grove Animal Hospital was very pleasant. I needed a USDA health certificate to travel with my dog and they were very efficient in getting it done quickly.

Tammy answered all of my questions and prepared everything needed for my dog's health certificate. Dr. Graham did an exam on my dog and had a very kind demeanor throughout our appointment which is always appreciated.

I travel very often with my dog and even still, there's a lot of really confusing information on the web about what's required for specific countries when traveling with a pet (and that can get stressful quick) but Downers Grove Animal Hospital made sure I had all of the information I needed and I ended up getting the health certificate back the same day, which was a relief. Results may vary as the hospital isn't responsible for when the USDA processes the health certificate but I would highly recommend this animal hospital for their overall efficiency and thoroughness.

“Dr. Perez was the vet to my mother's cats for many years. During the pandemic he did house calls for her since she was going through cancer treatments. She sadly passed away in 2023 and I have taken over the care of her senior cats. Her 19 year cat had ongoing kidney disease and took a turn for the worse over the holidays. We knew it was time to end her suffering. She is a very fearful cat so we greatly appreciated that Dr Perez offers in home euthanasia. Dr Perez assured us we were making the right decision, and explained the process before and during. He and his assistant were both very comforting during this difficult time and we truly appreciated their compassion. Since then Dr. Perez has helped another of our senior cats with an acute allergy attack that ended up requiring medical intervention. Not only is Dr Perez's extremely intelligent and a great vet, he is a kind person, and the costs for his services I found very affordable. Thank you Dr Perez!“

“We were referred to them by a friend since we were unhappy with our past vet and we have had a wonderful experience so far. From the first visit my dogs seemed calmer and happier which is very important to us. These dogs are our family and we want the best for them.
