Along with regular examinations, I have had two dogs with some very serious health problems and Dr. Max provided wonderful diagnostic and care (that was missed by other veterinary clinic). “My wife and I have been taking our Cavalier to Dr. Jay Nordstrom and team from the time she was 8 weeks old. As true with a lot of Cavaliers, ours has a heart murmur from birth due to mitral valve disease, and usually dogs with her condition are not expected to get older than 10.
So we did not expect our baby to last longer than that. There have been numerous situations where we thought we are loosing her but Jay and his team refused to give up on her. His swelling went down overnight and he was finally able to walk on it the next day. “Dr. Gill and his wife are absolutely wonderful! I’m a preschool teacher in Lake Zurich, and they generously took time to visit our classroom during our “Community Helpers” theme. Dr. Gill talked with the children about his profession, brought in different doctor tools for them to explore, and even surprised us with three adorable kittens. My dog Bella had an emergency Monday morning, scared and unsure what was going on, she is only 6 years old. The staff was great getting me in asap to get a diagnosis. After a few tests we were told our dog had Bladder Stones and needed surgery.
Dr. Flahaven did an emergency surgery that same afternoon to remove many large bladder stones. The surgery went well and he covered everything from diet to meds and recovery. Thank you for saving our little Bella life. We are so grateful to have such an experienced, compassionate and professional team at Deer Grove for all our vet care.

Before finding Barrington, I had tried a number of vets in the Chicago area and felt that they did not treat Mr. Buxco with the care he deserves. “Animal Care Clinic is always great with my 2 dogs. I’ve seen several of their doctors and never been disappointed in the quality of care. This time I saw Dr. Paul who helped reassure me that my aging dog is not in pain and that we are doing all we can to help him age with comfort and dignity. We had a compassionate discussion about quality of life and I felt a huge relief knowing my pup is still enjoying his life comfortably. We also talked about how to tell when quality of life is deteriorating and, while not a fun topic, Dr. Paul was both kind and realistic.

“I have been bringing my dogs to the Animal Doctor since 2014 and have always been provided compassionate care from the entire staff. I have taken 3 dogs to the animal doctor, all of which have had severe complications from tick diseases and Dr Daus has provided the best care for their needs to get them healthy again. One of my dogs does not enjoy the vet after having an ACL surgery and is quite a handful but Dr Daus has worked with us to find a way in which we can take him in and is comfortable for him and the staff to provide the care he needs. Can’t recommend the Animal Doctor enough!!“
