The estimate was very competitive and besides a new roof, I also got new gutters as they had been damaged from a storm a couple years ago. Miguel explained everything that would happen step by step. They came and completed the tear off and replacement in just over a day. He advised me on things that I currently had and do not need as well as hooking up vents for my kitchen and bath. After shingles blew off our roof and left a hole, Harris Extrriors replaced it.
I had been working with another company with my insurance at first. Unfortunately, they were not doing what they promised. I called Joe from Harris who I had originally scheduled for an estimate but had cancelled when the first company got involved.
We have never been treated so respectfully from a company that came to do home improvements/replacements. Everything Joe told us happened just as he explained. There were no hidden costs. He worked with us to make the project affordable. He responded promptly to any messages left and followed up when he said he would. The install crew was wonderful and careful. They arrive just before the scheduled time and we’re ready to go on the dot. I watched them since we have had issues with work from others in the past. Our neighbor had just had his roof replaced as well by a different company, and there was more debris in our yard from his roof then our own. Joe came and checked the work promptly. He even picked up a few small pieces of debris that we didn’t even notice.
I HIGHLY recommend Harris Exteriors. (I did also get quotes from three additional companies. The costs were similar, but the product and communication did not compare.)

Besides Joe, I also spoke with other people in the office who were equally friendly, professional, and helpful. They will be the first company I call for future projects!“

“We had a project to replace the siding on the first and second floors of our house. We decided to go with the Hardie board fiber cement. While more expensive than other siding types this one came highly reviewed and recommended. David and his team were very great about sharing all relevant information for this product as well so we could make an informed decision. They worked with us to get it on the schedule as fast as possible and installed, even escalated a replacement to our second floor windows when we discovered they also needed to be replaced. They were professional in all respects, quick to respond to questions, and cleaned up the debris left behind to all reasonable expectations. If I have another major project within their specialty I will definitely be getting an estimate from them first.“

“I had purchased replacement windows from Lake Cook Exteriors many years ago. The best money I have ever spent on the house - they look and work great. Unfortunately, one of the windows fogged up indicating a seal had failed. I contacted Lake Cook and they advised me it was covered under warranty. They asked me for the serial number of that specific window. I emailed it to them along with a photo of the cloudy window, and they ordered and installed the replacement - no charge. Great service and great product. I highly recommend Lake Cook Exteriors!“

“Worked mainly with the owner's son on getting our roof done. He was very friendly and responsive to communication. Same goes for the office staff. They were a pleasure to deal with and helpful navigating things with insurance and mortgage companies. They accommodated my specific requests for the gutters even though they had to specially make some pieces for us. Only thing negative I can say is the length of time it took to complete the work, but that was due to the break on exterior work over the winter months.“
