We needed a toilet repaired before a visitor came to stay at the house. They were prompt, and the repair person was personable and knowledgeable. Everyone I spoke to, from the receptionist to the person in charge to the repair person, were all extremely nice and helpful. We would recommend them, and will definitely call them again when needed.
Josh and his team at Five Star Plumbing are OUTSTANDING. I had a power outage at one of my properties this winter. The pipes froze and water was everywhere. Josh came out THE SAME DAY, shut the water off, stopped the damage and began making repairs all while keeping me updated over phone calls and texts. It's tough to find great customer service these days, but Josh and the Five Star team should be proud of the work they do and how they take care of customers. I highly recommend them!

One of my favorite stores in Galena. We go multiple times a year from out of state. The owner is a really great guy. They have a lot of unique stuff and if you find something else in Galena that this store has, chances are the other store will be more expensive. I love the pajamas here. They are very high quality and there are lots of designs. And he has a clearance room and if you make a donation to their local Humane Society you get the clearance price. 10/10 recommend ?

This is lovely shop to make your favorite perfume, cologne, candle, or home diffuser. The employees were very friendly and knowledgeable about the whole process. They helped with curating your ideas and what kind of scent and feeling you are going for. My date and I had a fantastic experience making our own unique perfume and cologne’s. I’d recommend this as a top spot to visit while in Galena. Thank you for the wonderful time!
Recently moved to the area. A new haircut place is amongst many unknowns. After 3 cuts, I am thrilled with Bobbie’s work. One doesn’t get to use the word perfect often but, it applies here!

Laura was so helpful at the Blooming Basket. She created a special arrangement inspired by my mother's bouquet back in 1974. This arrangement was for their 50th Wedding anniversary. It was delivered to the Desoto House in Galena and placed in their room - everything went without a hitch! My parents were surprised and it really helped to elevate their weekend celebration. Today I had to bring my 5 month old and 5 year old with me and they went above and beyond to be quick and efficient, while providing quality service and helped keep my kiddos happy and entertained!

Finally found my one and only horse vet!!!!!! I hesitate to mention how great Dr Hannah is with fear all the horse people will want her and I wnt be able to get an appt.,but with that said I highly recommend this awesome woman!! and now to top it off shes starting equine accupuncture.Hannah your the bestplease dont ever leave us.
Maybe I shouldn't be reviewing at this point as I didn't buy anything but the next time I want to buy furniture it will likely be with them. I bought new furniture from home makers of des moines and was not impressed. This furniture is made in the US and has lots of options. It is the perfect size for a short person like myself who often feels like Lily Tomplin on Laugh in, you know the scene where she is a little girl sitting in a huge chair with her feet straight out. I also love the styles they have available.
This is a Beautiful part of Illinois. Golf is awesome. Wildlife is everywhere. PEOPLE ARE SO NICE!
