“This took me a few months to write, but I haven't forgotten the kind folks at Jefferson Park cleaners. They had closed for the day on a Sunday, and my buddy called to see if there was any place that would clean my dad's suit and lucky dress shirt (the one he wore for the birth of all three of his children) for his funeral the following Tuesday. It was the one task I didn't get a chance to take care of, and the funeral home needed to get it at least a day before.Jefferson Park cleaners was the fifth place my buddy called (all the others didn't answer) and told him to drop it off, even though they were closed for the day. Had it back to me by Monday morning. It gave me a lot of peace to be able to send him off in his lucky shirt.There's something to be said about a small business owner who understands that there is another human on the other end of the phone, and who strives to come through for a stranger when they need it the most. You might think that something like pressing a dress shirt is a trivial thing, but Jefferson Park Cleaners has obviously been in business for a long time, and they know that somebody calling right after they close for the day on a Sunday is probably somebody in need. And they pick up the phone.I don't know if the owner reads these, but if you do, thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me make sure my dad was dressed impeccably for the last time I ever saw him.“

“I finally found an amazing tailor who isn't a dry cleaner! Olya is skilled, professional, and a delight to work with. She's tailored several pieces for me: shorts, dresses, tops, and jeans. She weighs in with her expert opinions, treats every piece with care (even casual crop tops!), and goes the extra mile to ensure everything fits just right. I was particularly impressed with her work on a challenging jacquard dress (pictured) that required significant reworking, including removing and reattaching the zipper. Now, it fits LIKE A GLOVE and made me feel like a Barbie doll. Olya's studio is comfortable for fittings. Pricing is fair. And while turnaround is a few weeks, she was able to expedite one of my dresses so I'd have it in time for vacation in 1 week. Highly recommend Olya's Tailor Shop.“

The team was calm, kind, and reassuring, and they delivered exactly as promised. Every stain was gone, even on the bottom, and the dress looked brand new.
