922 Noyes St, Evanston“Travis is a super talented chiropractor! His method is very scientific and integrated. There are muscle pain relieve + dry needles + chiro adjustment + teach me a few physical movements, which work just like miracle. I have seen quite a few chiropractors and PT in the past few years, but none of them are effective like Travis’s integrated treatment. My neck pain feels so much relieved after the first two sessions. The dry needling he provided is extremely precise and very effective.“

1809 Lincoln St, Evanston“I recently moved to Illinois, and have been establishing care. I should preface by saying I am an intuitive bodyworker, and seek healing similar to what I give. Tony's office was close which made it a win, but the healing was powerful! Love and Reiki is definitely woven into the work, but intuitive leading, perfect touch, wisdom, compassion, space holding, respect and customized work is what will keep me coming back! Thank you Love Warrior!!!“

1638 Orrington Ave, Evanston“I am very fussy on a massage as I am looking for healing not comfort. This is the best. They really know their pressure points and how to work out your knots. I swear I had a massage that changed my posture. I am sooooo grateful. I return again and again. This isn't candles and scent. It's healing.“

1609 Sherman Ave, Evanston“I had an incredible session with Jeff and couldn’t be more pleased with the results. I came in with significant neck pain, and after just one session, I experienced tremendous relief. An added bonus was the improvement in my golfer’s elbow, which has been bothering me for over a year. It’s been four days since my treatment, and while some symptoms are slowly returning, they are much less severe—I’m confident that with continued sessions, I’ll be fully back to normal. Highly recommend!“

“I had a lot of tightness in my back and legs due to my love for running, and was in desperate search of a professional who could adequately address this. I had previously been requesting deep tissue work at massage chains or spas, but I experienced either intense soreness afterwards that made my tightness worse, or I was charged more for what really was a swedish/relaxing massage (not a sport massage). I went to Scott and he was able to identify where the trouble spots were as if he could see them. He was extremely knowledgable and explained what he was addressing as he worked. Afterwards, I immediately felt the difference just when I walked, and I did not feel "beat up" as I have felt from past experiences when I have requested firmer work to address the tightness. Not only was he very knowledgeable and professional, but more reasonably priced than the services I had previously used, that didn't come close to his knowledge and professionalism. I highly recommend Resurge Massage!“

2002 Maple Ave #103, Evanston“Just had my first massage with Steve. I've been getting massages regularly for more than 35 years & this was one of the best ever. Steve is a master, with many techniques at his disposal so he can meet your individual needs. He is very professional, highly skilled, & also kind & friendly. He even asked if I liked the music, which he could change or silence if I preferred - no one has ever asked me that. A bonus is his "Swiss army knife" of a massage table with infinite adjustments. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!“

She had an opening for me that worked with my limited schedule. I have gotten MLD massages before and I was very impressed with Maya’s approach and technique. I’ve never felt so relaxed after MLD before! After the massage, she gave me some fantastic advice to help a few things that I am dealing with. I appreciate her expertise and passion, and I will absolutely rebook with her next time I am in town. Thank you, Maya!!“

1905 W Howard St, Evanston“Came in late tonight for massage. I normally go to 7th heaven downtown on Ashland to see Lisa but there was way too much traffic and I was just too tired, plus parking is impossible there on a Friday night. So I decided to give this place a shot. Didn't need an appointment, $65 for one hour deep tissue. Massage therapist was lovely Asian lady, very strong. I'm pretty muscular and was surprised she was able to get all the knots out of my back. Nice clean and pleasant space with relaxing oriental music playing in background. Highly recommend Yuki, will be back for sure to see her again. She does excellent work.“

“I’ve been coming to Zen Shiatsu for years for both receiving bodywork and my CEUS as I’m a massage therapist for over ten years.
I have always had very good experiences and great therapists and teachers. Misha is AMAZING. However, today I had a truly awful experience with my Beginning Zen Shiatsu class. My areas of concern: the class was listed as 10:00-1:00 and the time was confirmed when I registered over the phone but apparently classes are 9:30-12:30 and no one bothered to update me with the new time. Another issue was the lack of accessibility and faulty biomechanics of the instructor: hyper-extension of their thumbs, wrists, and elbows and when I practiced biomechanics that were safe for me and my body, they curtly told me to use thumbs when I am physically unable to do so. The best bodyworkers honor their own needs and adapt their biomechanics/tools as needed to safely practice massage and this goes both ways. People receiving bodywork also may need different positions/bolstering. I was horrified by how the instructor had people prone on the floor with really wacky arm/head positioning. It’s important that both providers and clients practice safe positioning at all times. Lastly, the lack of sanitation protocol was really alarming. The instructor did not sanitize hands when moving to different bodies and surfaces were also not disinfected with different bodies. The instructor’s demeanor was also chaotic, tense, and defensive. When I talked to the clinic director, they were also defensive and I realized they weren’t interested in my feedback. I found her lack of compassion to be unprofessional especially with me voicing the lack of accessibility the class had. I’m blind and have ehlers-danlos syndrome. I won’t ever return to Zen Shitasu. They could use diversity/accessibility training. As a queer disabled Romani Muslim woman, I felt completely out of place there and unsafe there today.
Update (formerly one star) :
Steve scheduled a phone call with me after he read this review and he patiently listened to my complaints and concerns and I felt seen and heard.
I had a good experience with the phone call because he ensured that if I were to book future classes that safety /sanitation protocols would be adhered to for my protection and well-being as well as accommodations for my physical disabilities.
I’ve actually booked more CEUs with Zen!“
