I frequent Salon Buzz’s assistant workshop sessions on Tuesday afternoons. Salon Buzz had an apprentice type program for beauty school grads in hair cutting and color. They are supervised and advised by more experienced stylists, so you’re not totally just on your own. For a very reasonable fixed price, you get a service from one of the assistant stylists. I tip them generously as the cost is approximately half the regular price, with that tip. You can usually request the same assistant more than once to build a rapport. I’ve had great haircuts and highlights here over the years.
Quite possibly the best haircut I’ve ever had. Highly recommend Aracely who made me feel fabulous (and squeezed me in last minute). The front desk folks were also incredibly kind and forgiving when I made a major scheduling mistake. Thank you for getting me in!
Amazing experience with Tom, excellent hospitality and a beautiful salon. I felt genuinely welcomed and will definitely be back.
Unfortunately, my experience at the Gold Coast location was not the same. I’ll be sticking with River North!
