Katie S., my primary physical therapist here, correctly identified my injury after 3 other physical therapists at a different PT office and a doctor did not. Also, my orthopedic doctor didn't know whether I should get a back or leg MRI and thankfully followed Katie's advice. Her help with the diagnosis alone surely saved me weeks or more on my recovery and lots of money as well. And in the physical therapy itself, I found her to be responsive and thoughtful and caring - asking good questions and follow up questions and quickly adjusting when appropriate. “Over the years, I’ve had several occasions to need physical therapy. I never found it helpful or personalized to my needs.

That has all changed with my experience at PT Solutions of Uptown. Their therapists and support staff are not only extremely knowledgeable, but also extremely caring. There is no boiler plate to this care. They check in with you at each session to see how you’re doing and tailor the session to emphasize your needs. They are patient in explaining the exercises you need to do and constantly check in to make sure that they are pushing limits without causing any excessive pain or discomfort. It’s a fine line, but they make it look easy.

I have recommended this location to both my primary care and specialist as well as to others I know in need of this type of service.

“I’ve been struggling to find a great physical therapist since moving abroad a few years ago. If you have never been to a truly great physical therapist it is hard to explain how different the experience is. For the past few years I’ve seen “expert” after “expert” and nothing they did helped. I finally received a recommendation to see Scott when I was in Chicago and the difference is just immediately obvious. My problems that had stumped so many others were immediately obvious to him. When he explained them and walked me through the exercises they all made total sense and gave me the confidence that these will actually help and be worth the time.

If you live anywhere in Illinois, Scott is worth traveling for (I came from Tokyo and… also worth it). If you have seen PTs before with no result and think they can’t help you, I agree, most other PTs probably can’t help you. Think of Scott as an entirely different class of expert.“
