The team is deeply committed to helping students grow, not just creatively, but academically and personally as well. Through thoughtful mentoring and engaging instruction, kids gain confidence and become better students. The classes are fun, well-organized, and fit seamlessly into our school schedule. We wholeheartedly recommend Musical Chairs to any student. Supporting this program means supporting the arts and a wonderful local small business—it’s truly a gem.“

FINE ARTS BUILDING, 410 S Michigan Ave Studio 710, Chicago“An exceptional musician and teacher, with an extraordinary depth of musical knowledge and an extensive understanding of the piano repertoire. What impressed me most is her remarkable ability to listen patiently and attentively to each student, immediately understanding their individual strengths, difficulties, and needs.
Her teaching combines many different dimensions in an exceptionally effective way. She is able to find the right approach for each student, addressing anatomy and posture, technical issues, sound production, musical expression, and the deeper understanding of the works being studied. At the same time, she helps students develop a broader perspective on the music, from harmonic understanding to the structural architecture of an entire composition.
She has a rare ability to understand and bring out the best in each student without imposing a single approach on everyone. Even within a single lesson or masterclass, the transformation can be remarkable: technical problems become clearer and more manageable, musical ideas gain direction and coherence, and the student often begins to play with noticeably greater freedom, awareness, and confidence.
Her combination of profound musical preparation, patience, sensitivity, intelligence, and practical effectiveness makes her an outstanding teacher. I would highly recommend her to any pianist who wishes to grow both technically and artistically.“

5234 S Blackstone Ave, Chicago“My girls have been taking lessons with Ms. Ericka for over a year now. They both had a little previous experience with piano but not regular structured individual lessons like they get with her. They’ve learned and grown quite a lot! She organizes recitals for her entire studio a couple times per year and finds opportunities for her students to hear professionals playing in the area. Prices are reasonable too!“
“Wiggle Worms is a must do for your little ones! My son gets so excited every week to go visit Miss Becca at class. She has a wonderful voice and really engages with the children. The song choices and activities are perfect for my son to participate and be active. Shout out to Miss Becca!“

I started taking voice lessons (with no musical experience) just for fun and over the pass few years singing has become something I’m really passionate about! Ms. Evita has gifted me the ability to sing! I never thought it’d be possible. Her guidance and support has not only helped me grow as a student but has also impacted my confidence! All the instructors are very kind, knowledgeable, and have very prestigious musical backgrounds. If you’re an adult considering lessons this is your sign…DO IT!“

However, Ms. Hill has the unique ability to relate to how you learn, and capitalize on that. She will start where you are in order to take you where you want to go!I began my journey at the Music Scene as a voice student. I’ve since added piano, which I’d never played before. The Music Scene has opened new doors, and I am so enjoying this journey with Anisha Hill as the leader.“

“Andrew Makone, the owner of A440, is a life saver, responsive, accountable, knowledgable, and flexible. Not just him, but all the Luthiers he employs are also as helpful and knowledgeable as he is.
He loaned us secure a flight case to fly our bass to an audition with a last minute notice and since my student does not have a car, he helped us with the case drop and pick up. He also saved me a lot of hassle by offering a one-time use flight case with all the protective gear required to fly the bass back home at a very reasonable price. Again, you guess it right, he took the time to drop the case with me.“
