1509 Ridge Ave, Evanston“Westley is professional, insightful, compassionate, and encouraging. I began taking piano lessons with them almost one year ago as an adult learning (almost) from scratch. Having not played an instrument since clarinet in high school, I was initially nervous about picking up an instrument as an adult. Piano has since become a very meaningful part of my life with Westley cheering me on from day one. Westley is passionate about teaching music and offers a tailored approach that makes most sense for you. Whether you are looking to involve your child in lessons, and adult who has been playing for years, or and adult who is just starting out like me, I would highly recommend their studio.“

My girls are in high school and I’m grateful that they enjoy practicing and playing piano thanks to him! He has the best advice to help them master the music pieces and learn proper techniques. Jared is very organized and dependable. He’s written music since the pandemic and it’s very good!“
“On Friday, I started looking for a local professional piano tuner and cleaner. After a quick Google search, I found the Mount Prospect-based Key Tone Piano Services. From the moment I called, John was very friendly, and we scheduled an appointment for yesterday.Prior to showing up, John called me ahead of time to let give me a heads up. When he showed up, he wore a mask and took appropriate COVID-19 precautions. From there, he took a few pieces off the piano and I left him to it.This was probably the second time in our piano's lifespan that it had ever been tuned, and the previous owners didn't use it much, so there was a lot to do. This wasn't a problem for Key Tone Piano Services as John adjusted a misaligned key, tightened the strings as needed, and removed adhesive from labels previously placed on the keys.John finished his piano tuning work in roughly four hours (probably longer than the standard since it was so out of tune). When he was finished, he also took some time to educate me on piano tuning and cleaning best practices. Out of curiosity, he even looked up the model and found that our piano is from the 1940's.Today, he followed up with a quick email, highlighting his warranty policy along with a few remaining tips to set us up for success moving forward. Overall, John Dukes was extremely professional and skilled at his work. I very much look forward to working with him and Key Tone Piano Services again next year.“
