“I've been taking voice lessons with Dr. Ariel Downs through Cantabile since February—almost 8 months as of writing this. While I still have much I want to achieve, my singing has indisputably improved since I began! For context, I had taken vocal lessons a few years ago with a different instructor (separate from Cantabile), but due to where I was at in life at the time, I didn't take them seriously enough to make any major strides. My initial email to Erica explained that I wanted to learn proper technique and how to deter the issues I had (and still have) with *tension* in singing and even my regular speaking voice. Erica promptly replied and suggested Ariel for my specific interests. After a single trial lesson, I knew 100% I wanted to schedule more lessons!Since then, Ariel has been an incredible resource for my vocal development! For one, she has a bright and friendly personality that cheers you on when you hit a milestone. That's great for somebody like me that always overthinks how I sound! On top of that, her work has observable outcomes. With every lesson I notice more relaxation, more natural vibrato, more confidence, and another step towards "unlocking" my individual singing voice. It's also worth noting that Ariel was quick to observe and adapt to how I personally learn!I've also had the brief opportunity to work with the other instructors when Ariel was away for a performance, and they all clearly share traits that are invaluable for instructors: curiosity, compassion, and an understanding of how to apply their knowledge to others—just to list a few!If I could give Cantabile more stars, I would!“

“My girls have been taking lessons with Ms. Ericka for over a year now. They both had a little previous experience with piano but not regular structured individual lessons like they get with her. They’ve learned and grown quite a lot! She organizes recitals for her entire studio a couple times per year and finds opportunities for her students to hear professionals playing in the area. Prices are reasonable too!“

“I took my old heirloom family violin to Chunyee for some repair, restoration, and adjustment and he did a wonderful job for very fair pricing. I trusted his judgment and he did not disappoint. He gave the violin a very compelling playable setup. I am loving this instrument now. He also did an informative updated appraisal. I truly appreciate his consideration and the quality and respect that he brings to his work.“

“Ms. Hill is an amazing teacher. As a senior citizen, taking on new challenges can be daunting. However, Ms. Hill has the unique ability to relate to how you learn, and capitalize on that. She will start where you are in order to take you where you want to go!I began my journey at the Music Scene as a voice student. I’ve since added piano, which I’d never played before. The Music Scene has opened new doors, and I am so enjoying this journey with Anisha Hill as the leader.“

The Art Of Piano Playing & Performing Arts Musical Instruments And Teachers

“Dr. Yulia Lipmanovich's teachings are beyond of what is expected. The true heart of the Russian School of Music is with her. It is not every day that you come across a person who've studied with the great Rosina Lhevinne. If anyone wants to improve their skills as a concert pianist, you have to come and study with Dr. Yulia. I am a concert pianist myself and I have been a student of hers since August of 2017 and I can see a huge difference in my playing today and before meeting Dr. Yulia. The best way to describe her teaching style is that she is just like her teacher Rosina Lhevinne - she's passionate, patient, goal-driven, and cares about her students by giving them every advantage to be better. The environment feels as if it is a family because she treats everyone like a family. If you are serious and truly passionate in your piano studies and want to know the true artistry of piano, you should come and study with Dr. Yulia Lipmanovich.“
