The doctor talked me through every step and answered all of my questions. She was warm, comforting, and made me feel completely at ease while discussing some eye concerns.

“We have been coming to McNelis Family Eyecare for a couple of years now. Dr. McNelis is very knowledgable, engaging and kind. Her staff are equally qualified and are very pleasant and helpful.

My husband and I arrived for our 5p appointment and was taken back right away by Ben. Ben was very polite and through with the pre-exam. I appreciate his attention to detail as he took notes of all of our questions/concerns.

The only reason we didn't give 5-stars was the amount of time we had to wait for Dr. McNelis to come in after the pre-exam. After Ben was finished we waited in the exam room for almost an hour. At one point I thought they had forgotten about us and I had to check with the front desk. They said Dr. McNelis was running behind. When she did come in no apologies were offered for the time we had to wait. Though we know some appointments run long and we were the last appointment of the day, we feel that our time wasn't honored. We honored the time of our appointment and showed up on time, and hoped she would do the same, in kind. Someone could've popped their head in to keep us updated or see if we needed/wanted to come back. I have a part time job in the evenings and it set me back a little as we didn't leave until after 7:30p. Also, kind of felt slighted that we were each charged a $5 credit card fee. Our invoice was over $1200 and I felt that charging a customer $5 for using a credit card isn't right. (we were notified ahead of time that this would be charged) Not too many people use checks or have cash on them. And I feel that the hour we waited for the doctor, after our pre-exam was worth more than the $5 we were charged for using a credit card. But, other than the lengthy wait and the credit card fee, I would totally recommend this practice. Dr. McNelis was very through in the questions she asked and took her time with every concern we had. The exam was very detailed and she also went over the eye scan results with each of us. We did not feel rushed and nothing was overlooked.

I also have to give a shout out to Katherine at Dr. McNelis's office. What a gem! After my eye exam she fitted me for new glasses. We chatted and she listened to my concerns. Also, I mentioned to her about my spare pair of glasses that I never wear because they hurt my nose. I have had the cushions adjusted in and out multiple times by other places, but it never helped. I get a headache within 10 minues of wearing them. She offered to replace the cusions with a softer pair than what came with my glasses. It really helped. She's a sweetheart and you'll love her the minute you meet her.“

“My whole family loves Dr. Marty. He is a great doctor who truly cares. It's great when he learns about new research and shares interesting information. The staff is always kind and helpful.“

“Dr. Golden is such a carrying, compassionate, and very knowledgeable doctor. My husband and I have been seeing him for some years. Recently my husband, father in law, and I have had eye problems and he’s been so thorough with his exams. He always makes you feel seen and heard. I recently got a particle stuck under my eyelid, which was from an exfoliate I used on my face. He was able to find it and remove it. I had no idea that can happen, but so thankful Dr. Golden was able to help me with no delay. My father-in-law one day lost partial vision in his eye. Dr. Golden was able to get him in the next day and did a very extensive exam on him. He was able to find that he had an eye stroke. He immediately got us set up at our hospital to get a stroke assessment done on him. Dr. Golden is one of a kind. So happy to have a doctor that cares!“

“Dr Margolis and his staff have been exceptional since day one of treatment for my child who has a developmental delay. They are caring, thorough, and thoughtful as well as proactive. We drive an hour each way to see them and wouldn't have it any other way- this is phenomenal care.“
