Highly recommend! Best massage on Island. I have had many massages in my lifetime. This is definitely the best. I requested a few different things specifically my legs, knees, and feet. Was given a 1 hour full body massage, which helped all of the areas including the painful areas. The calming music and focused massaging let me disappear from the pain I feel every day. The environment was very comfortable and inviting. Julia was able to break up tight calves and relieve the stress in my neck and shoulders. If you're looking for a massage on the Kona side of the Big Island, this is the right place.
Swami Om is a delight to have lomilomi treatment with. She combines so many of her healing techniques skillfully in a very professional manner and is “knowing” as a natural healer is , “sees “ where your blocked channels need reopening.Her lighthearted energy shines through with powerful healing results leaving me balanced and grounded again. I can’t express enough how wonderful my stay at Gingerhill Farm Retreat was! It turned out to be the ideal spot for my first time exploring the island. I arrived after dark, but Kiki's prompt and friendly assistance made me feel right at home from the moment I got there, she even helped me get to my cabin. I got the chance to get to know a few volunteers on the farm and they did not hesitate to help me feel right at home. Vicky even hand-picked me some fresh fruit!I stayed in Bamboo Cabin for three nights. This cozy room was exactly what I was looking for, and it exceeded my expectations with its comfort and thoughtful amenities. One of my favorite features was the outdoor kitchen and the hammock, which added a unique charm to my stay. The nighttime atmosphere was magical, with the sounds of the forest—crickets, frogs, and other wildlife—creating a peaceful, almost otherworldly ambiance that contributed to the best sleep I’ve had in a long time. Honestly, I miss it greatly now that I'm back home.I have nothing but good things to say about Gingerhill, the grounds of the farm are stunning, lush, and meticulously cared for. Wandering through the property, I felt completely at peace, soaking in the natural beauty all around me. I felt connected with nature, which is a unique Airbnb experience compared to most. Mornings were especially delightful, spent sipping tea and interacting with the friendly farm animals. Iris even brought over some fresh farm eggs, which was AMAZING!My time at Gingerhill Farm Retreat was filled with joy and tranquility! I wholeheartedly recommend this retreat to anyone looking for a serene and memorable getaway, especially if you're a big fan of nature and getting away from the hustle and bustle :)

The owners, Christine and Ken, are some of the kindest, sweetest souls you’ll ever meet, and their caring energy shines through in everything they do. The entire staff is so thoughtful and attentive, and you can tell they genuinely love what they do.
The spa itself is spotless, comfortable, and has such a calming vibe that immediately puts you at ease. They also offer amazing packages that make the experience even more special and such a great value.

A wonderful nurturing supportive yoga studio. This is the place to go if you are new to Yoga or want a place to go that is welcoming to all then the search is over. From the moment I walked into the studio til now a year later it has been the best experience. I feel like the value I get far exceeds the nominal cost. The teachers are knowledge and extremely helpful in making sure that my alignment is correct and are able to help use different props that are supportive if you are having aches or pains.

Troubleshooted a water pressure issue on short notice. I then had Austin (and is trusty side kick) replace/install 2 Pressure Relief Valves, a Backflow Preventer and 3 faucets. He and his assistance showed up when they said they would, they did a great (professional) job, AND were very reasonably priced! I will definatly use him for all my future plumbing needs. Mahalo!

I had the pleasure of visiting Parrots in Paradise this week with my parents, and it was truly a special experience.
The sanctuary itself is set on a stunning ten-acre property with sweeping ocean views—peaceful, beautiful, and clearly a place created with care and intention. Gerald and his mom, Dorothy, run the sanctuary, and you can feel their heart in everything they do.
Gerald led our guided tour and completely impressed us. His knowledge is extensive, but what stood out even more was his deep, personal connection to each of the 100+ parrots in his care. He shared the unique stories behind many of the birds and helped us understand just how emotionally sensitive and intelligent parrots are. It was both educational and genuinely moving.
The highlight of the tour was being invited into one of the enclosures, where we were able to take photos with parrots perched on our shoulders—an unforgettable moment for all of us.
This is not just a tour, it’s an experience rooted in respect, compassion, and love for these incredible birds. I would absolutely recommend Parrots in Paradise to anyone looking for something meaningful and memorable.
