Clare is also very helpful and welcoming at the front desk and answered all my questions and gave me all the documentation I needed. “On my last visit to the Eye Centre of Hawaii, Dr. Miller was not satisfied with the results I was getting from the drug for my eye injection. Dr. Miller then consulted Joelie to see if another new drug was available which there was , he and Joelie explained that option any went forward with treatment ,this would be my last visit for the season here . When I returned to my doctor he was amazed with results The best improvement he has seen so far. Being On this new drug has increased to longer period between injections . unfortunately, when I returned this season, Dr. Miller had retired as he mentioned on my last visit, he may do that. He and Joelie said there would be a new doctor and they would give me same great care . Mahalo for his and Joelie’s insight to change my medication. This is the kind of great care you get here.
When I returned this season, Joelie had made an appointment for me with Dr. Safi . Once again I was given thorough tests On both eyes as I have macular generation in both eyes, only one is dry and one is wet,by the very professional staff . I then saw Dr. Safi and Joelie , Dr Safi is very good to make me aware of my condition and explained options for new technology for dry macular degeneration he is very easy to talk to and takes time to explain things . He is very professional and has Extensive experience with eye care.
All the staff here treat you very well They are legitimately concerned That your visit here goes well. Mahalo to Dr. Safi and Joelie and all the staff here . I apologize for not knowing all their names I look forward to returning here later this season .

“Best eye doctor experience! Dr. Oshiro took the time to talk me through each thing he noticed during my exam, and what it meant, outcomes etc. Felt very cared for and did not feel rushed at all. I trust his recommendations. Now that I found him I don’t think I’ll ever change optometrists.“

“First time as a new patient there after researching for optometrist I decided to try Kato and Shoji at Manoa because parking was easy to find and after looking at reviews thought they were good. Small office but staff was friendly and professional and appointment times were available that fits my schedule. Met Dr. Kato who I thought was not very talkative but very thorough with examination and professional in his conduct.
After comprehensive examination it was determined that my eyes sight changed slightly so I decided to order a new pair of progressive glasses and doctor Kato helped me choose a pair that was to my liking and made needed adjustments before sending off to lab. Price estimated was quite expensive but its been years since I ordered a new pair so I thought it was time anyway. Would recommend this place for anyone looking for new optometrist. I have also made a follow up appointment for glaucoma workup and even though Manoa office does not have equipment to do it I was able to make a appointment at there Kapahulu office for that.“

“We completed our routine eye examinations with our opthalmologist who gave my husband a new prescription for his eye wear. Amazingly, his vision has improved, well, slightly improved since his last prescription just two years ago and he also wanted to update his eyeglasses style. Fortunately, we recently received a promotional flyer for 50% discount of lenses with purchase of new frames and decided to check out the inventory at this LensCrafters location. Unlike the main store of LensCrafters in the Ala Moana Center, we found this Macy's site to be cozier, less busy and offering more personalized attention. We met with Christopher, one of the two friendly and experienced sales representatives, who assisted my husband in finding a frame to fit his face shape and personality. Afterall, getting the proper fit and style for eye wear is not only for function but can be looked at as fashion or style accessory. While my husband browsed the displays, Christopher showed him several frame colors and styles from different designers as well as the latest arrivals. It didn't take too much time before my husband spotted a frame style and color that he wanted and would be comfortable with. Chris held onto the prescription while measuring and fitting the frames and lenses on my husband's face. Once Christopher completed the fitting, he processed the transaction and then cleaned my husband's current glasses and replaced the nose pads. Chris even took the time to adjust my non-prescription sunglasses, which were "out of whack" because I had stupidly thrown them into my purse without the case, and it got jangled and bent with its contents. So, now, we're waiting to pick up my husband's new eyeglasses, and we're thankful for Chris' friendly professionalism and expertise.“

“Flew to Hawaii without my glasses or spare contacts. Naturally, got an eye infection on the flight over and thus, was stuck without any way to see! They squeezed me in same day (by a stroke of luck) and helped me out immensely. Got a full eye exam for glasses and was able to go to lens crafters to get a pair first thing in the morning. They walked me through all the options (out of pocket vs insurance) and took such good care of me. The staff was super friendly as well and even gave me some tips on where to go! (Thanks for the North shore recommendation!) :)
