Quite Possibly the Best Haircut Experience I’ve Ever Had
I had the most wonderful experience with Darlla of DARLLING MANE INTENTIONS. I’m visiting from the Big Island and haven’t cut my hair in a long time — I have super long, thick hair and lots of anxiety around salons. I came across one of her haircut transformations on TikTok months before my trip to Oahu and was immediately obsessed with her work. When I realized her salon was close to where my boyfriend’s family lives, I knew I had to try and book.
From the start, the process was seamless — online booking was easy, and before my appointment, Darlla reached out with clear directions to help me find her space. Upon arrival, she greeted us warmly and instantly made me feel comfortable. Her studio is gorgeous — clean, well-designed, and clearly cared for.
As someone who’s very introverted and nervous about small talk, I was worried… but Darlla is genuinely so warm, personable, and easy to talk to. She listened so well to what I wanted, made the consultation feel natural, and struck the perfect balance between engaging conversation and peaceful moments of quiet. Nothing felt forced — it felt like chatting with an old friend. Another stylist (I believe her name was Ashlyn — apologies if I got that wrong!) was working next to us and also hilarious and kind. The whole vibe of the space was just so friendly and cozy.
Beyond her kindness, Darlla’s skill is unmatched. She worked with such grace and precision — her technique is clearly rooted in experience and care. She made it look effortless, even though I know it wasn’t. I felt totally relaxed the entire time.
One thing I deeply appreciated: she asked for permission to record or take content, and gave me the option to maintain privacy. That was so thoughtful and respectful.
When she turned me to the mirror… I couldn’t find the words then , but I was honestly emotional. I haven’t felt this beautiful in such a long time. My hair feels healthy, clean, and alive again. She helped restore more than just my split ends — she gave me back confidence I didn’t know I lost.
To top it off, after the appointment she even sent product recommendations and hair care tips. She truly goes above and beyond.

An amazing massage! Very clean and very friendly. They respect your time. Unlike other places, they have someone else attend the door and phone. I have never had them stop a massage to take care of something else.
This was my 2nd time getting a haircut here. My hair looked awesome & the cost was reasonable.
Excellent service! Quality work over quantity. Kevin and his crew did an awesome job with my Tacoma that needed a lot of work. I was basically losing my love for my truck but it was brought back to life again. I got it fully detailed and ceramic coated. I would highly recommend others to get their cars detailed by Kevin.
Joss is the eyebrow queen! She did an amazing job on my brows and was patient and attentive during the entire process. I couldn't be happier with the final result. Joss is so professional and knows what she's doing! Thank you Joss!

I felt very comfortable around her and she gave me so much advice and answered all the questions I had. This is for sure my new favorite spot to go to! I am a dog person so I really loved meeting her two dogs too lol! But if you’re allergic to dogs, she will help you.
She even gave me a little after waxing care freebie goodie bag! I don’t know any other esthetician who cares so much about after care that they give us what we need for free! ? 110% recommend booking here! Can’t wait to keep supporting her small business!

My hair is healthier and growing that is not only to the styling, conditioning etc but the education i get for when I'm not in the chair! HIGHLY recommend!! Celeste with island Renovations helped me to replace a broken Anderson window . Her customer service should be the envy of all merchants . She was courteous . Always kept me updated and was just downright a pleasure to work with. Recommend this business !
As first time homeowners, Ricarte made the home inspection process so seamless. It was so easy to get an appointment with him and he was able to fit us in the very next day. He really took the time during the walkthrough to make sure we understood his findings and even gave us his recommendations on what we could do to remedy things that should be addressed, or what things we could just keep an eye on. He asked us all throughout the process if we had any questions and made sure we weren’t lost at any point. His detailed and easy to understand report was sent to us within hours of the inspection. Ricarte was fast, efficient, professional…and very personable and kind.
I love Dr Geraldine Faivre! She is a great doctor, listened well, asked a lot of questions, even referred me out for my peace of mind. She explained all my scans from previous doctors. Her staff is really friendly too.
Had Party Pix for a company mahalo event and it was such a great addition! Everyone had fun with the photobooth and the staff was so nice to work with. Set up/break down was super fast and we loved the custom photo template made for the event which was really great for branding purposes. Definitely would recommend them for any type of party and would use again!
Took me a bit but was looking for someone who was truly local to Ewa Beach where I live and found Dustin. He was quite literally 7 minutes from my house and did GREAT work with the very mixed bag of knives and scissors I had neglected over the years. Dustin, can't thank you enough for the fast service and it is soo nice to have my favorite Santoku knife sharp again!
Dr. Mcmann is a great ophthalmologist! He has now put two new lenses in my eyes. I now have Monofocal eyes! lol It has been very pleasant going to see Dr McMann. The day of surgery the Dr. and his team work so well together to make sure you are so comfortable and understanding of what you are expected when you get home. The whole experience has been great for having to get cataract surgery at 53.
Update: Post Op 4 wks left eye That eye I couldn’t see out of at all before surgery. Now I can read pretty much anything without my cheaters.
Post Op 10 days right eye I can see the smallest print and my eye is really crisp. I had pretty good vision in my right eye already, but I can see a lot more I have to use the word crisp again. It’s just that really fresh looking if that makes sense. Things are brighter a guess is what I am trying to say. Dr, McMann really did a wonderful job if I must say! Thank you Dr. McMann
Update: After struggling with dry eyes for years Dr. Michael McMann put plugs in my ducts to stop the overflow of tear that I had. By the time I got home my eyes had stopped watering. It’s an easy 5 second step the doctor does in the office. It’s awesome. I can finally drive again! I have my Vision in my eyes are not watering. Thanks Dr. McMann

Jenny is very nice and personable! My first appt here and i felt like i was family. She did an excellent job with my eye brow wax and very detailed to tweeze all the little baby hairs!

So I came across Mama G's place while I was googling a place to cut my hair today. (01/01/2024) Everywhere was closed so I decided to give this place a call. I had an appointment set up with in seconds. I received outstanding service from Mama G, i couldn't have been more satisfied with her work. Pricing was great, place was easy to fine. I highly recommend booking an appointment with her. The best part is she was very informative with every step throughout my haircut. You can tell she care and takes her work serious. I have been wanting to come here for a year and never got around to it because their openings were always during my work hours. I finally came the week before I move off island and I really wish I had sooner. I got my face scanned and they explained to me my skin type and said the services I requested were a good fit for my concerns. I got a chemical peel and a laser for redness. The whole service was

I can't recommend Tiffany enough! She did an absolutely AMAZING job on my brows and lashes. She gave my eyebrows the perfect tint and wax, and the lash lift and tint made my eyes pop. Over the moon with the results ?

...something made me check up on these guys while having dinner and I realized that my post never got posted!! My family and I chose Chris and his crew to do some interior and exterior fixes around our house and we are glad we chose them! They came every morning on time and sometimes stayed later than expected to finish some little "here and there" touch ups! They filled all expectations regarding our renovation and they were very fun and friendly to work with! I'd choose them again if I need something done again! We were referred to Keiki Dental after her regular dentist discovered a lot of problematic dental issues. We were able to schedule an appointment and were thrilled with the way they were so caring for our daughter, for me as her mother, and made sure she was as comfortable as possible; so comfortable she fell asleep! lol! The dental work done is so beautiful and our daughter didn’t complain about any pain or tenderness even after the numbness wore off. Mahalo Dr & the staff of Keiki Dental!!
I highly recommend Dr. Shimao to anyone seeking quality dental care. Lori and her staff are exceptionally professional, attentive, and genuinely caring about every aspect of your dental health. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed and valued as a patient. They are efficient, respectful of your time, and never keep you waiting like many other offices I've visited. After trying three different dental offices, I can honestly say this is by far the best experience I've ever had.

I've been going to this chiropractic office for a while now. Dr. Hunter was my first chiropractor here and he was amazing, so when he left it was a little hard to find another doctor I liked as much. Thankfully I found Dr. Gabby and she has been great--I always feel so much relief after my adjustments with her. One downside is that not every doctor there feels as skilled. I've had a few adjustments where nothing really cracked or I actually felt a little worse after. Another con can be scheduling--sometimes it's difficult to make or cancel an appointment. I've left messages before and didn't get a call back. Lately I've just been walking in and the staff is friendly enough to try to fit me into the schedule, but it's not always guaranteed that I'll get the doctor I prefer. Overall though, I'd definitely recommend seeing Dr. Gabby specifically.

I was very hesitant to start yoga at my age. Tasha was absolutely amazing and guided me through the class. I never once felt awkward or out of place. I will be practicing yoga regularly and will be doing it right here with Tasha!
Comfortable environment and thoughtful service! Ning is very nice and professional. I can feel her dedication every time I do the treatment. My skin condition has improved a lot. I highly recommend it.
Ron is amazing. I first seen him about 2 years ago after issues with carpal and cubital tunnel on both arms. I had sessions with him every two weeks for about 3 months in which he stated what was needed when I had my first session. I stuck with it and he also gave me exercise I should do. After my sessions with him and to this day, I don’t complain about my carpal and cubital tunnel syndrome. I did see doctors for it and nothing helped. I am currently seeing Ron again for tight tense traps and shoulders and it’s been helping a lot with my stress levels.
I’ll always stick with Ron.
