“I am eternally grateful for All Creatures and Dr. K for Misters care. Mister was fed a corn cob by my elderly father in law and we had no idea until he started showing symptoms. They were able to get Mister in surgery immediately and remove a 2.5x7.5 cm corn cob that would have perforated his small intestine. They answered all my questions and even checked on him throughout the surgery to let me know he was okay while I was hysterically crying.
Mister is the most loving and affectionate dog I have ever known, and he needs constant cuddles and love. All Creatures had a dedicated person sit with mister before and after surgery to make sure he was having his needs fulfilled.
I know surgery is expensive and I am beyond grateful and privileged to be able to pay for his expenses. I think the pricing was fair for saving my dogs life, including the extra attentiveness to my needs and his. Dr. K gave me a huge hug and consoled me every step of the way, including a phone call prior to surgery to tell me exactly what he was going to do and all the possible outcomes Mister could have.
The surgery went excellent and Mister has been acting like nothing ever happened! His pain is managed and the medications they gave us are even chewable, so no having to shove pills in his mouth. They gave us detailed follow-up instructions and the dog food that Mister has to eat on a liquid diet.

Dr. Arnold was his main doctor at the time.. they were very communicative, front desk has all been very nice as well. “I don’t think there is enough kind words to say about this clinic and all the wonderful staff. I had to say goodbye to my cat Tiny and the moment I walked through the door I was given a hug. They sincerely care about animals. Even shedding some tears of their own. They made me feel welcomed and safe to feel my emotions as I helped my baby cross the rainbow bridge. Not only emotionally helpful but they talked me through all the financial responsibilities to find me the best option for that day and they did it perfectly. I never felt pressured to do anything and as I left I was hugged again. “We have been going to Santa Cruz Animal Hospital for several years now. We love Dr. Stanton and she has given all our babies great care and still does! We first met her and the staff at the hospital when our regular vet was out of town and our 10 yr old girl Sophie (yellow lab / german shepherd mix) stated acting funny at home and became very very bloated. We called several places and Santa Cruz was the only vet clinic who answered and told us to come in. The end result was Sophie's abdomen was twisted and Dr. Stanton did emergency surgery, which saved Sophie's life. We ended up having Sophie for two more years before we lost her to cancer. We credit Dr. Stanton and the staff for this extra years. Since that time our vet retired and we have remained with Dr. Stanton and Santa Cruz. She has seen us through the loss of Sophie, the additions of Jackson, Stella, Emily and now Virgil (all rescues)! She also helped us to say goodbye to Sophie, Jackson and Stella when their time came. I can say she and the staff were compassionate, supportive and understanding during those times. Being honest, I will say they are more expensive than some others, but the care is exceptional. They have always found a way to fit us in when we had a concern or worry and Doc took the time to speak with us by phone when necessary. You can't go wrong with the doctors here.“
