“We have been going to Santa Cruz Animal Hospital for several years now. We love Dr. Stanton and she has given all our babies great care and still does! We first met her and the staff at the hospital when our regular vet was out of town and our 10 yr old girl Sophie (yellow lab / german shepherd mix) stated acting funny at home and became very very bloated. We called several places and Santa Cruz was the only vet clinic who answered and told us to come in. The end result was Sophie's abdomen was twisted and Dr. Stanton did emergency surgery, which saved Sophie's life. We ended up having Sophie for two more years before we lost her to cancer. We credit Dr. Stanton and the staff for this extra years. Since that time our vet retired and we have remained with Dr. Stanton and Santa Cruz. She has seen us through the loss of Sophie, the additions of Jackson, Stella, Emily and now Virgil (all rescues)! She also helped us to say goodbye to Sophie, Jackson and Stella when their time came. I can say she and the staff were compassionate, supportive and understanding during those times. Being honest, I will say they are more expensive than some others, but the care is exceptional. They have always found a way to fit us in when we had a concern or worry and Doc took the time to speak with us by phone when necessary. You can't go wrong with the doctors here.“

Thank you for taking such good care of my baby boys silence after he was in a dog fight and for taking good care of me while I was a wreck the staff was very knowledgeable caring and attentive the doctor suggested a procedure done under anesthesia in order to clean all of his wounds and do his stitches due to the location and amount of wounds which made me a little uneasy but she assured me he would be okay the staff kept too well informed and called me as soon as he woke up from his procedure is now on the mend sent me home with the care instructions so much for helping out my little boy I am new to this area and you guys were the shortest distanst to my house per my crazy Google search.“

“I cannot recommend Dr. Hart and Rachel highly enough! The whole experience was wonderful from start to finish. My cat is very nervous, especially around strangers and vet visits, and they handled him with such patience and care. Dr. Hart took the time to move at his pace, explained everything clearly, and never rushed the process. Rachel was equally wonderful. She’s gentle, reassuring, and clearly so tuned in to animal behavior. Together, they made what is usually a stressful ordeal feel so easy.

The fact that they came to our home made an enormous difference, as well. It was clear how much they truly care about the animals they work with - not just getting through the appointment, but making sure everyone feels safe and respected along the way.
