“My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Johnson for well over 20 years. He is a rare combination of expert in his field and compassionate and human-centered. As an example: a number of years ago, I walked into his former office because I had mysteriously lost central vision in one of my eyes. I had to walk to his office because my sight was shaky at best. Within 5 minutes of his examining me, he left the examining room briefly, returned and said, "You are coming with me." He escorted me to his car, drove me to a retinal specialist who returned to his office after hours, and made possible for me to have my eyes thoroughly examined. I was diagnosed with WMD, and Dr. Johnson's quick work saved my sight. The Eyecare Express team is kind and very responsive to requests. We cannot imagine being patients at any other place in Gainesville.“

“I purchased two pairs of glasses from this location. Both pair were transition lenses and progressive bifocals. I paid almost $1000 dollars with my vision benefits and my American Express card. My only complaint was the transition doesn't get dark enough in the car while driving. I called and spoke to Linda Raines and asked if one pair could be completely tinted as dark as possible and not worry about the transition lenses. She took the time to talk to the optometrist and came back and told me no they couldn't be. However she said we can put another set of lenses in them that are tinted as dark as possible for you. I asked what that would cost expecting to spend several hundred more dollars. Linda's response was no charge Honey. Your not happy and you have only had them for a few weeks. I couldn't believe it. She even put a note in my file to make sure it would be covered. Linda's kindness and customer service was above and beyond the usual service you receive from companies now days. She deserves a raise, bonus and even some other kind of recognition for being so good. I've had a tough day today and Linda made it so much better. Thank you Linda for everything I will see you next week. For the past 15 years life has been really tough for me personally. My wife at age 36 died unexpectedly the day after she went into the hospital. She was the Love of my life. My niece was involved in a car accident that caused her to be ejected from the car with it flipping over landing on her legs trapping her then caught fire. Her boyfriend walked away from the accident and let her burn because he had a warrant for his arrest. My niece fought for 14 hours with burns over 99 percent of her body. She had a two year old child. Two years ago my best friend and oldest sister was diagnosed with Breast and Bone cancer stage 4. She was expected to die within 3 months. We moved in together so I could help take care of her. One year later after Chemotherapy and 48 radiation treatments she was still going strong. One day before my 56th birthday I was diagnosed with a terminal illness and she had to help me after that. I was told 12-18 months unless I could get a Liver transplant. I'm at month 16 and still going I'm sick and have no idea when my time will be up. Linda's kindness made me actually cry she has no idea the way things have been for me tye past years yet she was amazing and very kind. Thank you Linda and please anyone that reads this say a prayer for my sister and I and let Linda know how great she is.
