“Our major kitchen renovation required a number of adaptations to our plumbing, to wit: Relocating a water heater and placing it on the opposite side of the kitchen in the newly-constructed utility room; digging a channel through the concrete floor in order to install a new water line to reach the washer which would be placed beside the water heater; pouring new concrete atop the new channel to conceal the pipe; and re-plumbing the entire kitchen to accommodate the new dishwasher, sink, and garbage disposal.

Greg visited several times prior to the start of the project, offered suggestions that reduced expenses and speeded up the process, and when we had a few glitches with one crew, he stayed calm (even better, he calmed us down) and sent another team in to correct the flaw. Once in the middle of the chaos -- when electricians and drywall crews were stacked atop one another -- Charlie's team worked seamlessly above it all as they ran pipe, cut lines, and connected fittings and did all of the things that an expert contractor should do.

The best part was that even when we disagreed (which is natural due to the emotional/financial/scheduling aspects of a major remodel), Greg was always open to discussion and, even better, committed to resolution. That's a true professional.

One more thing: We contacted Charlie's nearly a year ago as we began planning for the kitchen renovation. Since it took time to build up the funds for this project, we didn't start until a full nine months after that first contact. Even I would've sent our calls to voicemail! But they were so incredibly patient, we have to add an extra round of applause for Kristina, who answered every call professionally and with a level of patience I certainly wouldn't have had. Between Greg, Kristina, and the rest of the team, they were affordable, approachable, and committed to completing what became the most impressive space in our home.
