1469 Colonial Blvd #130, Fort Myers“Kristina Youngquist is, without a doubt, the most amazing teacher you will ever meet. Her passion for Jiu Jitsu radiates in everything she does, especially in the way she leads her women’s and kids’ programs. Kristina pours her heart and soul into every class, creating a space that is empowering, supportive, and truly inspiring. Her dedication goes far beyond teaching techniques, she builds confidence, instills discipline, and fosters a strong sense of community. You can feel how much she cares about her students, and her energy is absolutely contagious. There’s no one else like Kristina, she’s one of a kind, and anyone lucky enough to train with her will walk away better for it.“

2500 Crystal Dr, Fort Myers“I’ve been coming here for five months now, and I seriously love it. The staff is incredible especially Master David and Master Hwang. When I started, I was 19 and lowkey terrified of failing or looking dumb, since I’ve never been athletic or good at sports. Taking this step was huge for me. But they have never made me feel out of place. They’re so supportive, and the adult classes have been amazing. Now at 20, learning self-defense and the art of taekwondo has been such an incredible journey. I’m excited to see how much more I can achieve. I’m always setting new goals, and I leave every class feeling inspired to come back and be better than last time. No matter your age, this is the place if you want to learn taekwondo, build respect, gain confidence, get fit, and learn real self-defense.“

17433 Alico Center Rd #3, Fort Myers“I am taking JKD and Wing Chun classes and my experience so far has been amazing.Sigung David, Sifu Carlos and Sifu Jason are phenomenal. They are masters of their craft and really take the time to show you proper technique and concepts while always providing insight how to apply it in real life. The other students are great and very helpful. Higher level students also take their time in class to help the lower level students.I recommend the Gung Fu Institute to everyone that wants to learn and experience martial arts.“

His confidence has went up. We also have him in Taekwondo but we love Dan's place way more. Dan does such a great job with everyone. We will be coming here till Dan gets tired of us.“

“Wonderful place. Both my children attend star. My son is 5 (turning 6) and was diagnosed with ODD and ADHD (going through testing for high functioning autism) they allow his behavioral therapist to attend with me. This is had been great for both my children, especially my youngest. I believe in holistic approaches to his temporary issues. I say temporary because I believe with star taekwondo and other sports I have him in, my son will grow out of this and be a successful and functioning adult without medication. Taekwondo teaches discipline, self respect, and respect for others along with self defense. I highly recommend star“
