“I was on my phone looking up about Aikido and I was surprised that there was a school in Cape Coral, just an hour from home. I was curious and called the phone number on the page. (239-677-4331) This was my best decision that same day to talk and to visit Sensei Joe. The Aikido’ s mentality he talks about feels well aligned with the lessons that I receive from my inner teachers. I seek enlightenment. The place is clean and organized and that makes me happy. Sometimes there are children around. They're so much fun and it's a blessing to watch them while they train. The lessons are interesting. Sensei Joe is a very detailed teacher who closely follows the progress of his students. He has so much energy! And he's also creative. You'll never be bored at the dojo. Discipline, perseverance, consistency, empathy, and patience are just some of the qualities that we can develop by practicing Yoshinkan Aikido and that inspires me to continue advancing on this journey. I feel safe while learning the techniques and I am always excited to come back for more training. I am grateful that Sensei Joe and Yoshinkan Aikido are now a part of my life.”
