“Dr. Van and his staff were great!

I hadn't had an exam in a very long time (years) because life got in the way.

They offer retinal imaging and dilation. They actually allow the time for dilation to work before checking your eyes as well, unlike some other optometrists I've had in the past.

Dr. Van himself was awesome! He took the time to really check my eyes out since it had been so long since I'd been seen, got me an up to date prescription, and said to follow up with him if things weren't working well!

“Very friendly and thorough exam. My eyesight correction is complicated due to bilateral cataract surgery and surgery for a retinal detachment. Not only was ab etter prescription found but it was discovered I had new onset steroid induced glaucoma.“

I understand Dr. Auchiche's decision to move to John Hopkins, but (1) will miss him and the way West Coast was run and (2) not happy with the way the change happened. We were not given any warning.I am very happy with Dr. Judd and happy to see he is still there, but with the many issues I've had over the years with my eyes, I always liked and felt comfortable knowing Dr. Auchiche was near by if needed. I personally have issues with the fact that any good Dr. (of any type of practice) has to go on television to blow their own horn, (ie., Quigley and/or Frantz) and you never see him, you only see a Corporation Dr.!This was the reason when I first moved to Florida and was recommended to the Dr. Frantz group that I left them, after a few visits there and never once seeing him I changed to Dr. Auchiche. My first visit was with him, we went over all my past issues and he actually acted as if he cared about me and his patients. So like I said, yesterday went well, and I will keep an open mind for now.“
