“This place is awesome! I had gotten a new prescription and was looking for a new look, since I had always worn wire frames. The selection of frames was outstanding; beautiful colors and shapes. I was like a kid in a candy store! Deborah greeted me and took great care of me. Berangere is the other woman who works there, and she has a great eye for style as well. Deborah showed me many different styles she felt suited me and was able to help me find the perfect ones (I needed a regular pair and sunglasses as well). She is very knowledgeable about the different types of lenses and took great care in taking measurements and fitting the frames when my eyeglasses came in. You are treated to a wonderful experience when you get your eyeglasses at Belleair Opticians.“

“Upon entry, a staff promptly acknowledges and greets me. Upon reaching the desk, I check-in with Emily and after PAYMENT is made, Ashley immediately leads me to the room with the 2 MACHINES: one focusing on a balloon and the other flashes bright lights. Right after, Ashley leads me to the actual eye EXAM ROOM, … to the letters, etc. The 3RD ROOM, Dr. Roberts makes sure the newest equipment is what is being used. I truly appreciate how Dr. Roberts actually explains details of the eye exam results: pictures and some important details of certain symptoms to be aware of, as we get older. The doctor gives out contact SAMPLES and his highly recommended brands.

I opt to get glasses and Emily takes the time to actually walk around with me and personally pick for me based on my preferences: any cost-effective frame with hinges and preferably in gold. In less than 15minutes, we found one and Emily helped me looked online for a different color (gold and black) than on the display. With frame and lenses , with anti-glare and blue-light feature, (and using my insurance), I am ecstatic to pay $131. I made sure to ask for the detailed breakdown of the exam and RECEIPTS, and Emily hands me a cute PACKET with everything in it.

“****Looking for a great eye care Dr., this is the place!!!!****Dr. Samuel Petro is an amazing eye Dr.. I was having an issue with one of my eyes and needed to see an eye Dr.. After a lot of looking for an eye Dr. (I had never been to one my whole life), I chose Sunset Eye Care (just over 30 min.s away from my home / that’s how picky I am!). It was worth the drive. I was greeted warmly by the office staff (Selina and Samantha) When I went in I was really nervous. When Dr. Samuel Petro looked at my eye, he knew right away something was wrong. Since I had never been to an eye Dr. before, the stress was building in me, I nearly passed out (I was so embarrassed!!) before he could even really talk to me about what he saw!! He gave me time to relax, he was very understanding, patient and kind; and made sure I was okay, even though he had other patients waiting. No rush!! (Wait!, A Dr. NOT RUSHING YOU, try and find that today!!) Once I was feeling better , we talked about his findings. Since my issue was very rare, he wanted more time to research the matter, as he wanted to make sure I get the right treatment. I felt like I mattered. I was not a number. Dr. Petro didn’t want to pass me off quickly to just any specialist, wasting both my time and money, not to mention even the specialist’s time. Dr. Petro is a rare find in the field of Dr.’s. He really takes his time and gets to know his patients. He puts himself in their shoes. Dr. Petro looks at all treatment options available and knows one treatment is not the same for all people, even with the same issue. He is a Dr. who really took the Hippocratic Oath to heart. He wants to help people in need of eye care, and enjoys his work. His patients come first, NOT the money!!. I do not have health insurance and he even works with you on pricing and payments. Dr. Petro, thanks so much for all you have done for me and saving my eye sight!!! I can not recommend you enough. Thanks to Selina and Samantha (the office staff) for making me feel welcomed, comfortable, like I mattered too!! You’re great people too and an asset to the team at Sunset Eye Care!! Lastly, even though I see an eye specialist now, I still see Dr. Petro to follow-up on my treatment and my husband is now his patient too!“

“Dramatically better experience here than at the Pasadena Eye Center location, which is also part of the Sight360 network. At Pasadena, the staff (not the opthamologists/optometrists) seem bothered to have to interact with the patients, and the eyeglasses / optical department is only open at random hours, and will typically tell you to make an appointment and come back even if the place is empty or you're willing to wait. Pasadena also never answers their phone. I was sick of it, so I called Optimart, and they answered! Optical shop is open? Yep come on in. I stop in and had to wait less than five minutes to be seen, the staff were pleasant, they helped me send off my prescription glasses for a warranty repair, and I didn't even buy them from this location. I think I'll switch my normal annuals over here.“

“Dr. Malouf is the best, most knowledgeable opthomologist I have met or had in 70 years. I am from several different affluent areas where supposedly we always had the best. But they paled in comparison to Dr. Malouf. He examined my eyes and found hereditary issues that no doctor had ever mentioned which explained problems I was having. Thank you Dr. Malouf. He will take care of my eyes till the end now. He is young, laid back, friendly and NOT condescending like so many doctors are. There is no flashy glitz office, here you only find 100% quality care, and detailed explanations of your eye care.“
