“**I was seen as a new patient on 1/9/24. I had such high hopes as I was experiencing pain when chewing and tension consistently because of my TMJ. Let me tell you…the Pain & Sleep Therapy center EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS!! From the moment I stepped into the office and was greeted by the woman at the front desk, it was a pleasant experience. When Sidney took me in the back I to the room, she was professional, caring, compassionate, and took the time to fully document and understand my situation and pain and symptoms. She made me feel comfortable and completely knowledgeable about every step in the process that was happening..even the pictures she had to take that may seem on average uncomfortable..it was all relevant to the overall process. When meeting the doctor, Dr. Jacob’s, she was poised, professional and great personality. I was thoroughly impressed by the fact that they didn’t make me as the patient, reiterate and explain again my symptoms and things I already documented on the online patient forms prior. I enjoyed the science of what was normal in a comparative analysis of my jaw/TMJ and my specific situation. She complimented my analogy in describing my pain…it spoke to exactly what the findings were. As doctor, patient, and Sidney who did my diagnostic work, all worked in unison to explain what I call the “5Ws and H” (who, what, when, where, why, and how) to discuss the full comprehensive diagnosis and treatment that centers around the root cause of my pain. I promise you this was the highlight of my week and a culminating experience by every single professional that I encountered…I started tearing up!!! When you find people who fully connect all the dots and 100% get it right while being compassionate it’s great…but when it’s an entire practice and each professional gives the same level…that’s golden?? Additionally, every person I felt was genuinely caring and excited to work/help me. I did NOT feel like they were tolerating or treating me as a number or treating me differently because I was a different ethnicity. The team at the Pain & Sleep center on Churchmans Road, is exceptionally talented, professional, and driven with the true purpose and passion of helping people heal. I will for a long time remember this phenomenal experience for an extended time. Furthermore, the next morning with the temporary appliance/orthotic I was told to wear at nighttime, it was the FIRST morning where I woke without the extreme tension in my jaw.
