I visited Dr Macdonald for an eye exam after years of using a national discount chain. During the intake interview I related my horrible experience with the progressive lenses I returned to the retailer after a couple of weeks of feeling nauseous, and asked that he not prescribe them. Once the exam was complete Dr. Dave suggested Transition lenses and assured me he got the prescription correct and the lenses would be perfect. I am happy to report he was 100% right and I now enjoy better vision at all distances. Thanks Doc.

Dr. MacDonald is a very caring eye doctor. He is always upbeat and cares about his patients. If there is a problem, he is the eye doctor to see. I have had vision problems due to medical treatments and he has advised and corrected my vision numerous times.This is the only person I will see for vision problems, truly a person who cares about his patients and loves what he does.

Yesterday I developed acute vision changes, light sensitivity and difficulty reading, being 7 weeks post partum I panicked thinking of every problem it could be. I immediately called Dr David MacDonald explained my situation to his amazing front end staff and they called me back within minutes to tell me Dr. MacDonald wanted to evaluate me immediately. And despite his already packed schedule he would squeeze me in! He was extremely thorough, with great bedside manner. He determined I had occipital migraines based on my presentation and he even called a neurologist to discuss my case over. He recommended I get a head CT to ruleout any other possibilities.
