“We had the ICOR crew around for many weeks this winter while they dodged snowstorms and icy weather to repair our foundation and replace the 1980’s-era deck that was funneling water into it (the foundation). They were all great to have on site, and I would have any or all of them back at any time. Kenny was super patient through the design process, and steered our choices in great directions, while also accommodating our must-haves. The initial quote was much lower than the competitors, and turned out to be spot on even with several decisions made as we went - Kenny was always on top of balancing the upgrades with trade-offs if needed. At one point we needed to make a pretty big change to the location of the privacy wall, and the crew just dug in and made it happen (still sorry, guys!).

There were technical elements to the repairs and moisture management, and Kenny and Steve showed their professionalism in the explanations and guidance offered. The crew was similarly utterly fantastic about going back into the (formerly gross) crawl space to do all the needed work. The worst corner of the house is now immaculate.

All of this without saying the most important thing. Our new deck is GORGEOUS. It is absolutely nothing like what I would have chosen without the ICOR team’s expertise but 4 months in, I love every single element. The detail and craftsmanship is beautiful. I love it night and day, thanks to the beautiful deck surface, railings, and even the gates (pool code!), and especially the LIGHTS.

“We recently contracted with Gene Ryone to do a complete demolition and remodeling of our small bathroom. Gene was truly unbelievable to work with from start to finish. “I first met Jon Day in 2013, when he designed and fabricated screen windows for the Steel House at Connecticut College, a modernist gem from the 1930s. Jon immediately grasped the need to create low-maintenance screens that would be easy to handle and that would also be in keeping with the building’s unusual design. His solution was exquisite in its simplicity and also beautifully executed. He did not just care about the work; he was excited by the challenges it presented and eager to add value to the project.Since then we have turned to Jon and his crew time and again to work on personal projects: designing, fabricating and installing storm/screen windows at our old house in Stonington; restoring a 10-foot tall bay window at our current house in Mystic; coordinating the installation of a new roof in connection with repairing and replacing exterior trim; and installing new gutters in keeping with the historic character of this 1885 house. We have been uniformly happy with the process and the product. Some of the excavation work was tricky because of limited space and it was a challenge tying the roofs of the existing buildings together. In both cases, the results came out extremely well. Dave was always available and he kept me well informed about all aspects of the progress. He interfaced very well with the electrical, plumbing, heating contractors and inspectors so that the phases of the construction were ready when their input was needed. Overall, the work was done very well and completely.“
