“I first met Jon Day in 2013, when he designed and fabricated screen windows for the Steel House at Connecticut College, a modernist gem from the 1930s. Jon immediately grasped the need to create low-maintenance screens that would be easy to handle and that would also be in keeping with the building’s unusual design. His solution was exquisite in its simplicity and also beautifully executed. He did not just care about the work; he was excited by the challenges it presented and eager to add value to the project.Since then we have turned to Jon and his crew time and again to work on personal projects: designing, fabricating and installing storm/screen windows at our old house in Stonington; restoring a 10-foot tall bay window at our current house in Mystic; coordinating the installation of a new roof in connection with repairing and replacing exterior trim; and installing new gutters in keeping with the historic character of this 1885 house. We have been uniformly happy with the process and the product. “We recently contracted with Gene Ryone to do a complete demolition and remodeling of our small bathroom. Gene was truly unbelievable to work with from start to finish. Prompt in response, through in cost estimating (as much as a project of this type will allow ) and reliable. Walked us thru what to expect, start to finish. Arranged for plumber and electrical work. All other work was performed by Gene and his son. He is fully licensed and insured and provided documentation. Answered all of our questions before and durning the work project. He answered every single one of my (many) questions, he was thorough, considerate, and communicated with me throughout the entire process. “We hired Go Green on the recommendation of a friend and we weren’t disappointed. We had our kitchen totally gutted and renovated. We also had our 1 car garage turned into a sunroom. For the kitchen we had installed granite countertops, backsplash for all the counter area and new cherry wood cabinets. The cabinets are some of the finest I have ever seen. The new tile floor and backsplash were put in by expert solid craftsmen. The finish work for the windows and baseboard were top notch.
