“April's studio is such a beautiful space full of sunshine and positive vibes. Anna is absolutely a delight. I felt heard, seen, and respected. My first appointment was just a trim, and even with that simple service, I left feeling gorgeous with the healthiest locks of hair I've ever had. My second appointment was a partial custom color and trim. It was my first time coloring my hair and I felt completely at ease, trusting Anna's experience and wisdom. The lived-in, multi-dimensional color was a beautiful way to elevate and brighten my hair, which in turn complimented my skin tone, and mellowed out my silver strands. Rather than hiding the silver, it sort of just melted them away by adding in beautiful tones and ribbons of warm, deep brown. I could not be happier, and in fact, the grand reveal at the end brought me to happy tears, unexpectedly. I've always wanted to see how I'd look to look as brunette. Now in my almost-mid-40's, I finally dived into the self-care journey and this treat to myself allowed me to finally truly embrace my silvers and celebrate what a deep, warm, brightening of my hair color can do to my skin tone and overall look. “I booked an appointment with Luan when my hair person went on maternity leave. I got some sort of a demiglaze color (or whatever it's called) that really boosted the shininess in my hair. I also got a hair cut, which made me nervous because I have notoriously difficult hair to cut due to the waviness in my hair. My hair will often take on a triangular or pyramid shape which I absolutely hate. When I got home and washed and dried my hair over a few days, I realized the cut didn't turn out how I wanted it. However, I reached out to Luan about my issue, and she was super nice and accommodating about having me come back in to get it cut again. I explained what I saw when I looked at my hair and she examined it again, added some more layers, and it was just what my hair needed. Based on this experience I would highly recommend her as a hair stylist.“

“I searched over the years for hair cutter that first could cut men's hair and then to actually listen to what I wanted. Most then went ahead and simply cut it their way...totally disregarding my wishes.....that is, until I found Karal. Not only does she listen to your wants, she then proceeds to cut your hair exactly to your instructions. If she sees a possible different solution your concern, she will mention it and only change if you so indicate.Karal is fabulous and easily becomes your best friend. “If I kept this review short I would say…simply the best and so uncomplicated. The uncomplicated part does matter. But why stop there!?

My husband and I decided to elope in Colorado. At first I wasn’t going to even have my hair done. But about two months before hand I said why not. So I went on the hunt.

Boy was I super shocked to find most of the artists, if not all but Abby, to have such a complicated process and a long list of requirements. Not to mention costly. Some required a whole bridal party and it was just us two eloping. Some wanted triple digits for just my hair and makeup. No trial run. And not to mention just submitting inquiries with some felt a little lengthy in process.

I knew on short notice my option may be limited going into it. I found Abby by an Instagram search. Getting in touch with her was so easy, she was so quick to respond. Pricing honestly felt like a steal! Abby was even super flexible when I changed my mind a couple of times. :)

The day of the elopement she was so kind and fun during the process. My hair is pretty short and I had some updo dreams but Abby was very honest about it not being the best choice for my length and so we went with plan B. SO GLAD we did.

My hair looked so good! I loved it. And my hair never holds curl but even on the windy day in Boulder she got them to stay! My makeup looked great and was just the right amount of done but not too done.

I would recommend Abby to any bride eloping or having a larger wedding. She is so kind, laid back and she just gets it! Life can be complicated enough, bridal hair and makeup sure as heck shouldn’t be and Abby gets that!“
