Environmental Designs
“We are delighted with the Environmental Design Inc. (EDI) team that brought our landscape design to life! EDI’s Senior Landscape Designer (Kyle), Supervisor (Kevan), and the Fall 2025 (Daniel/Marco, Roy, Mario) / Spring 2026 (Enrique, Jose, and Lionel) landscape crews have been incredible to work with. They have demonstrated outstanding communication, excellent landscape design and installation skills, and a strong commitment to quality.
Early in the process, Kyle met with us several times to develop a Concept Design that addressed our goals for visual appeal, low maintenance, wildfire-resistant plants, fencing and vegetative screening, and raised beds for growing vegetables. In April and May 2026, the plants were arranged on the graded site and carefully planted by the EDI crew. The periphery of the property was seeded with a short-grass prairie mix consisting of Blue Grama and Buffalo Grass.
In May 2026, a heavy downpour washed amended soil and seeds from the sloped terrain into the dry riverbed and other unintended areas. EDI worked closely with us to remove the displaced soil from the dry riverbed, reseed affected areas, and install landscape netting and wattles to help prevent further erosion. With daily temperatures soaring into the 90s and very little rain, establishing the new plants was particularly challenging. Throughout the summer, Kevan frequently stopped by the property to check on the plants and adjust the irrigation as needed.
By Fall 2026, most of the plants were thriving, and we were enjoying the stunning landscape from both inside and outside our home. We are very pleased with how the design has come together and appreciate the care and attention that the entire EDI team has provided throughout the process.
We look forward to meeting with our EDI team in Spring 2027 to discuss any necessary plant replacements and opportunities to further enhance the landscape.”
