We needed a unique approach because of how fearful she was and he laid out a plan of exactly how we should train her. He provided us with a wealth of information and left us feeling better than when we started.“

“My dog had a WONDERFUL experience here. He is super timid, and doesn’t usually take to strangers but he loved this place and the people who work there. For the life of me I can’t remember the groomers name but she is Hispanic and she wears glasses. She deserves so much credit for how much she cares about what she does. She came out to meet our dog and got down to his level to give him love. He was so happy coming out from the back and he has picked his new grooming spot. He just needed a nail trim and teeth cleaning, both of which were done quickly and perfect. No one is ever able to get his nails short enough because he has black nails but she was able to get them back enough and he is happy so I am too! Here is a snap of the invoice, please let her know she is awesome!“

“UPDATE: I spoke to Donna who was very pleasant and made this situation right. That's fast and excellent customer service. I'm glad that this was rectified and look forward to working with GVR Pet Center to keep my dogs healthy and happy in the future.

New to the area and had a bit of an emergency with my dog yesterday. I couldn't get in touch with our regular vet so I called GVR because they are much closer to our new place and had a similar rating. I spoke to the lady on the phone, explained the situation, and she said an appointment had opened up for 2pm today (Saturday). I told her I'd call back to cancel if I got in touch with our normal vet but that we'd be transferring both of our dogs to GVR soon. She said that was fine.

I got in with our regular vet yesterday and by the time we got back home, GVR was closed. I just called at 8:30 am to cancel and open up the slot for someone else and was told a $30 fee is being added to our account. There was no warning of this from the person I spoke to yesterday and it's super off-putting as a brand new client. I haven't even taken my dogs there and I already owe them money?“

“[edit] Understaffed and higher turnover than many others which leads to staff not really knowing procedure, causing up to 20min wait times, obscure charges, and not honoring reasonable requests or expectations. Pressures for tips at checkouts but it’s unclear if my dog actually gets what’s agreed on (like food specifics or pool time). Everyone is friendly and it’s still a good option, but I’m better off making the drive to the many options in surrounding areas for better service at a better price.

My dog Tank loves this place, we’ve been going for the past year. he’s excited to get dropped off and he is much calmer and more content in the days after I pick him up because he got so much human attention and stimulation! The staff is overjoyed to see him and everyone recognizes him and knows his name.
