From the very first phone call, Patrick Atencio made us feel supported. He was patient, kind, and never once made us feel pressured or taken advantage of during such a difficult time. Rod Guthals was just as incredible. He was there every step of the way, and the small, thoughtful touches he added made everything feel so personal. The one that meant the most to me was him wearing a butterfly pin because my mom loved butterflies. It was such a simple gesture, but it showed how much he truly cared.

Both Patrick and Rod carried themselves with such a calm, gentle presence. There was no pressure at any point. Only genuine care, kindness, and respect for our family and for my mom.

The venue was beautiful, the reception space was perfect for our group, and the catering was excellent. Everything felt seamless and thoughtfully done.

We were also connected with Pastor Paul Berg as the officiant, and he was absolutely amazing. He took the time to truly understand who my mom was, and the way he spoke about her felt so personal and genuine. It honestly felt like he knew her. He brought so much warmth, compassion, and comfort to the service, and we couldn’t have asked for a better person to honor her.

Overall, I’m thankful we chose Horan & McConaty. Patrick and Rod made an incredibly difficult time easier, and they helped us give my mom the beautiful, respectful service she deserved. I would recommend them to anyone going through this. You will be in truly caring hands.“

“After reading some of the reviews I was hesitant, however a family friend said to give Ballard Family Mortuary a try. I am so happy we did. I can't speak for everyone but my family's experience was as good as it could be under the circumstances. My advice would be just to be clear about what you want and what you do not want. The entire process is pretty much up to the family in the wants etc. You can build your services one piece at a time or purchase a package. Also, Mr. Ballard was honest & realistic about what to expect. What more could we ask for? I say give this small business a try.
