The owner, Jonathan Wagoner, answered my call the first time I called and was available, responsive and professional. He spent hours at my home before I hired him explaining the remediation process and gave me excellent advice regarding how to deal with my personal property and my insurance company. He was patient and accommodating every time I asked him to revise his bid (three times!) to either scale up or scale down the scope of work.

Once hired, Jonathan’s crew arrived on time and treated my home with care and respect. I had a good feeling about everyone on the crew from the moment I met them. Every time I came back to the house to check their progress, my expectations were exceeded. The crew was careful with my furniture, followed through on all my requests, stayed late and went above and beyond to ensure my home was properly cleaned and decontaminated.

After the house was remediated, Jonathan thoroughly documented all the fire damage that could not be cleaned so that I could prove the damage to my insurance company. He also had great resources he shared including a window contractor and environmental testing company I hired to retest the house for fire contaminants.

“Our relationship with Martin, the owner and operator of Emerald Isle Restoration & Floor Care began in December of 2022. We had two slab leaks at our old house we retain as a rental. One leak of hot water in the dining room and the other was cold in the kitchen. The issue that prompted Martin's involvement was with the kitchen. Mold was growing on the drywall and under the cabinets from the moisture escaping from the cement slab. Martin and his crew has been great to work with. He is prompt and tackles the issue quickly. He has also been able to work well with the insurance company to move things along with them. This year we had called upon Martin to help with a shower leak at our newer house, which we elected to renovate the bathroom. He has other great skilled workers he can call in at reasonable prices and will work with you as necessary (for instance, we had specific stone and tile we wanted in the shower that we ordered for install). We have also had to revisit the older house for, yet another slab leak (a different section of pipe), and Martin was quickly available to assess the situation and bring his equipment and expertise. This time, we wanted to save the granite countertop that was just purchased in 2023, since we love the pattern. The original installer said it was impossible and wouldn't even attempt to save it. Martin was able to save it with a technique called shoring! Thank you!!! With another stroke of bad luck, we also had a flood from our laundry room (washer hose popped out of the drainpipe) at the newer house most recently (this week) and Martin was available again with his drying equipment to save the day. And I've since strapped the hose to the pipe so it doesn't happen again. I recommend that if you have water or even smoke damage that you give Martin a call. You will be happy you did.“
