I was getting a pedicure when a beautiful woman with gorgeous curls walked into the nail salon. Before I left, I worked up the courage to ask her if she knew someone who specialized in cutting, treating, and styling curly hair… and to my surprise, she said she was the one! Her name is Neisha.
I booked an appointment with her the very next day at Salon Philosophie in Vacaville, and I’m so glad I did. From the moment I walked in, the energy was warm, welcoming, and positive. Everyone made me feel right at home, and you could tell by the clients walking out that people were leaving feeling confident and happy.
Neisha herself is amazing—so sweet, attentive, and professional. What I appreciated most is that she asked detailed questions about my expectations. It’s rare to find a stylist who truly listens instead of just doing what they think is best. I asked for a trim and highlights, and she absolutely delivered. I am in LOVE with my color!
She also gave me a beautiful silk press, which came out gorgeous. I’m a natural curly girl through and through, so it didn’t last as long as intended (sorry, Neisha! 😄), but I especially love how the highlights look with my curls—they really pop!
I will definitely be going back to Neisha and highly recommend her to all my fellow curly girls looking for someone who truly understands textured hair.
Salon Philosophie is also a one-stop shop—they offer braids, weaves, silk presses, color, cuts, and more. They even have a nail technician and a barber on site! I’ve already recommended Neisha and the salon to several friends, and I genuinely stand by my recommendation.

“I had a wonderful experience with Maura, fun and friendly. I had a difficult pixie haircut that most stylist couldn’t duplicate. She was on time, articulate and creative. I was great full for her attention to detail.
I travel for my job, I was nervous because so many had messaged up my cut, I would have to re-cut it myself when I returned home.
In that I was giving her mixed messages on what I wanted… but she listened through all that fear and gave me a great cut.
Plus She gave me options for future ideas.
Her shop was clean, and inviting. The other stylist in the shop were gracious and kind.

I was reluctant to leave my salon at Davis but was needing a place that provided more 1:1 TLC.

I was so happy and relaxed at Hairendipity. I was immediately greeted, offered a beverage and was provided an updated on my (short) wait time).

The extensions look completely natural. Her color matching is flawless and they blend perfectly with my hair. What shocked me most? They are SO low maintenance. My style holds for 2–3 days — I literally wake up and go. The pampering is real, and the end result always has me feeling FABulous and confident!
