Drew, the owner and head professor, is the real deal. He’s dedicated not only to teaching high-level Jiu Jitsu, but to spreading it the right way, with humility, passion, and a focus on building people up. You can tell he genuinely cares about his students and goes above and beyond to give back and create something special.

The gym is also lucky to have Professor Luis Redig, who is just as community driven and always bringing people together. Luis has a way of making everyone feel welcome, and it’s obvious how much he cares about the students and the atmosphere on the mats.

They host open mats that are truly open to everyone, including people from other academies, and they’re always welcoming to drop-ins. It says a lot about the environment they’ve built. It’s all about sharing the art, learning together, and keeping the Jiu Jitsu community strong.

The instructors and head master are kind yet firm with their expectations for the kids and make sure they take their time with them, especially if some struggle with new forms and techniques. We’ve tried a different place and my daughter did not enjoy herself, but once she started coming here she just fit right in! They are also great at making the experience fun for the kids, teaching them manners and discipline while also making fun games for them as well.
