516 N Quarantina St, Santa Barbara“When I first began classes at SBBTI, I had no idea how much my life would change, and for the better. I really did not understand how much pain I was in, both physically and mentally, and how much relief from pain in all aspects was possible, and even easy to achieve, using the tried and true methods and principles that I learned during my 1,000 program there. In short, my entire body was in pain nearly all the time, every joint from my neck down to my ankles and everywhere in between, and especially both shoulders were constantly in pain, and lacking mobility when I began classes. Using what I learned, I was able to begin a process of pain-relief that, over a period of a few years, helped me to become 100% pain-free, with full mobility in all joints of my body, and with the corresponding mental health to go with the physical ease. For these reasons alone, SBBTI was worth every penny, and if I had the chance and availability to retake all the classes, I would do it simply because they were all so enjoyable. But, the personal pain-relief and realization of greater health across the board was not the only benefit of going to SBBTI.
In addition to feeling and performing better, looking younger, and likely living a longer life with a greater health-span, I found my career vocation and true calling, and became armed with essential wisdom and knowledge that I am able to impart to others to help them resolve their chronic symptoms as a Holistic Health Practitioner and Medical Qi Gong Practitioner, and even help others reduce their acute symptoms using the bodywork methods I learned hands-on at SBBTI. In this capacity, I have been fully-employed for the past 8+ years and worked with over 500 individuals and helped them to resolve many dozens of different symptoms to health using what I learned from Katie Mickey and the other great teachers there. Joint pains, migraines, irritable bowels, insomnia, brain fog, chronic fatigue syndrome, and countless other symptoms are now manageable for me personally, and for the people I work with in my practice, and all using bodywork and what can be called energy work, but are actually very straightforward practices that are easy to understand and repeat. I learned how to assess my own health and the health of others without needing any technology, but by using my own senses and knowing what to look and listen for, which is very empowering. And, rather than requiring products to prevent and treat symptoms like the ones I mentioned, I am able to use the body itself, including the breathing, posture, mindset, movement and dietary input patterns to change from within, addressing the many root factors that combine to create our experience, helping to create lasting and wide-ranging positive changes in those with whom I work, and myself as well.
I could go on and on about the benefits of attending even just one single class at SBBTI, let alone the full 1,000 program like I was fortunate to attend. But, the best way for you to understand is to just go for yourself, maybe starting with just one class, or even receiving a session of bodywork from one of their student clinics that are hosted each week. Whatever you do, if you are in Santa Barbara as a long-term resident or just a short-term visitor, I cannot recommend SBBTI highly enough both as a massage therapy school that can change your life positively for the long-term, or as a recipient of bodywork from one of their students in a clinic, which will help you acutely to feel much better right now. Additionally, when you go to SBBTI, you support a hyper-local business that is owned and operated by a woman who should be an icon of holistic health and wellness, and who employs many other great people and practitioners who teach their many forms of tried and true healing wisdom. Every moment spent there is a blessing that will resonate for your benefit for the rest of your life, and even for those around you. Check it out. You will be so grateful that you did.“

The service was very meticulous from entering the store to ending, the environment was clean and comfortable, the technicians were professional and skilled, the intensity and pace were just right, and I relaxed a lot according to the whole person. The communication is also very effective and will be adjusted according to the physical condition. Highly recommended for those who need to relax and relieve fatigue. The chief masseur inside is excellent, and I will look for him again next time kc.“

1602 State St, Santa Barbara“The Goodland Chiropractic team has literally helped me from head to toe! I originally sought help from Dr. Justine Bellefeuille because neck/shoulder pain was making it hard to sleep. Dr. Justine's adjustments fixed me up and her recommendation for a more suitable pillow has been a long term solution to my issue. Since then, Dr. J has also provided relief from wrist pain, lower back pain, and even long term foot pain, which has enabled me to start running again.
Myofascial massage was new to me, but Sophie and Alyssa have provided additional relief when I tried that out.
My weight training and flexibility routines have been enhanced and fine tuned through Dr. Justine's personalized Functional Movement Training. My senior workouts feel more productive now.
When my long term chiropractor left town, I dreaded searching for a new doctor, but I'm really happy I found Goodland. I always leave the clinic with a smile because I feel better, thanks to pain relief and compassionate interactions with Dr. Justine and her staff.“

226 E Canon Perdido St Ste E, Santa Barbara“Colin and Christina are fantastic. I’ve seen both practitioners, and they have a magical way of really connecting with the body and working with it to release tension. I came in specifically with a neck issue that has been going on for close to a yr before I saw them. I tried acupuncture and nothing. I would wake up in pain, and have difficulty even falling asleep. After a handful of sessions, my pain has significantly decreased without other intervention, no longer fixated on it during the day. The Santa Barbara community is incredibly lucky to have both of them working with us! If you are thinking about trying massage for pain or ortho help, this is the place!“

I’m sure the others there are just as good tho! Everyone there is super friendly, the rooms are very clean, and never had an issue with noise. It was a little harder for me to find at first. I went to another place close by and they pointed me in the right direction.“

331 N Milpas St Suit 2E, Santa Barbara“My extraordinary experience with Carlie goes way above and beyond anything I have experienced, and I have had many massages over the years. The most important quality I wish to speak to here is the sacred space and presence she creates. She is fully present with me, my body and needs. She is extremely intuitive and seems to know just what my body needs and can really get in there with incredible strength and precision. I never feel like she misses anything, which allows me to completely relax. My mind is able to let go in part because of this and also I feel seen, heard and completely safe. Her studio is beautiful, calming and quiet. Not only is the entire experience healing and lovely, but because of the sacred quality she invokes, I have had several deep realizations and releases as she worked on me. My sessions have helped me immeasurably in my healing journey. The icing on the cake is the very reasonable rates she charges. I honestly cannot say enough good things about Carlie. If you are thinking about booking with her, do your self a favor and GO!“

“I don’t often treat myself to massages of this quality, and honestly, it’s usually outside of what I’d normally spend. That said, Brent’s work is truly something special and worth every penny.
I’ve had many massages over the years, and Brent provides some of the best bodywork I’ve ever had. Our session was about 2 hours and beyond just his skill and understanding of massage, he weaves in other elements that make the session feel like much more like an experience than just your run of the mill massage.
He incorporated cupping, aromatherapy, singing bowls, and other techniques that made it feel like i was getting a full body detail .
He’s calm, intentional, grounded, and doesn’t force conversation. He seems very attuned whether you want to chat or simply relax and enjoy the work.
I left feeling deeply relaxed, restored, and genuinely cared for. If you’re looking to spoil yourself and invest in your well being, I can confidently say Brent’s work is worth it. I plan on coming back for more.“
