Hotel Californian

Hotel Californian is a luxurious hotel located in a prime spot on State Street, with rooms that are nice and clean. The friendly staff provides great service, taking care of guests from the valet to the front desk. Guests have noted that the entire team is patient and helpful, especially during events like weddings, ensuring everything runs smoothly. The rooftop bar and event space offer stunning views of the city and sea, and the hotel even hosts a movie night on the rooftop. While some have experienced slow service and issues with room availability at times, the hotel is well-staffed during busy events, and the food is served on time without extra charges.

The prices are steep, ranging from $500-600 per night, which may not be justified by the amenities and service. However, the location is ideal, with popular restaurants, shops, and attractions like the wharf within walking distance. The hotel also offers courtesy golf cart service to downtown for shopping, dining, and even a movie theater. The pool, though on the smaller side, is perfect for small groups. Overall, Hotel Californian has its strengths and weaknesses, and guests should weigh these factors when deciding whether to stay here. It is truly an amazing boutique hotel that captures some of the best of California.
