“I had a wonderful 5-year experience living in a Lower Pacific Heights studio apartment managed by Tom Carpio/Founders Realty. It's in a relatively safe location that is within walking distance to Japantown and Trader Joe's/Target; I'm lucky to have called it my home during pharmacy school and my residency training. For example, we had an issue with packages being stolen from the front entrance area, so Tom and his team were prompt in ensuring the common door locks were changed. He also improved security in the apartment complex by installing multiple security cameras. Tom and the team always respected the tenants' privacy and let everyone know beforehand if they had to enter our units (to install updated fire alarms, for example). Tom also made the leasing process a stress-free experience. He was transparent about the lease terms and costs, and there were no hidden surprises. The unit was move-in ready and well maintained, as I never had any additional maintenance issues or repair needs (the only thing I had to replace was the lightbulbs). I couldn't be happier with Tom as my landlord: He is professional, responsive, and dedicated to his tenants. “Wanted to share my most recent experience with Active Space, San Francisco. I’ve been renting here for about three years. During that time I’ve seen at least six managers come and go and their disposition when they leave is overwhelm and stress. They all start off really helpful and they leave running out the door. Could be an issue with management style in their home office. It’s pretty distressing for us as renters cause we start a relationship with them and then they disappear. There’s a new set of managers Chelsea, and another one. Chelsea has been very kind very helpful extremely friendly, very warm very welcoming. She’s really great at troubleshooting and helping us renters figure things out in our space. I absolutely love her and to be honest I recommend anybody that is considering renting a space here to speak to her directly again her name is Chelsea. Also, I recommended a friend to come to look at space and she told me that their office was marked as closed on Google and so she didn’t go and she ended up finding another place perhaps the wrong times of availability for the main office need to be corrected. Anyway, I can’t say enough about Chelsea , please home office. She’s a good one. We love her.“
