2023 update: still a great experience with Aki. I showed her a photo and she made it happen. Another relaxing haircut.
Aki's place and Aki herself are very sweet. You can tell she worked hard to create a relaxing space. I recently moved to SF from out of state, so I'm still having sticker shock for the prices of haircuts. Aki's prices are on the moderate/higher end ($65-85 for women's cut at the time I visited), but it included a wash and blow dry, which is better than some places. She gave me recommendations for my hair style and care, and the cut itself looked cute. She even offered me a cup of green tea. Aki’s salon is a great spot! I got a full balayage service in under 2 hours for an affordable price! I was able to read during the product application, I enjoyed the shampoo and toner experience so much I almost fell asleep, and I really appreciated how Aki does everything correctly. I am a very happy customer. Thank you Aki 😁
