About The Catamaran Spa
The Catamaran Spa, located within the Catamaran Resort Hotel and Spa on Mission Bay, is San Diego's only beachfront spa. Offering services inspired by South Pacific traditions, the spa uses marine and botanical-based products for relaxing massages, skin care therapies, and body exfoliating treatments and wraps. Guests can also enjoy water therapies, hair care, sunless tanning, waxing, and customizable "rituals" or packages, as well as seasonal specials like guava milk baths and coconut sugar scrubs.
The spa's amenities include a relaxation lounge, outdoor pool and whirlpool, beach cabanas, an open-air fitness center, and seasonal outdoor yoga classes. Guests praise the excellent service and warm hospitality, though one reviewer mentioned the music outside the Oceana Restaurant was too loud, making it difficult to communicate.

Had Shawna perform a Swedish massage. She did great. Was able to hit every knot m. This was very relaxing. The facilities are also very nice. You have time use the sauna and vitamin C shower.
I had a wonderful experience at the Catamaran Spa. The space is very clean and well-maintained, even if it feels a bit dated in places. The amenities were great—the spa includes a sauna, steam room, relaxation area, and well-equipped showers with hair tools and toiletries to get ready comfortably.
My 80-minute magnesium melt massage with Mario was the highlight of the visit. He was polite, professional, and created such a relaxing experience from start to finish. I left feeling completely refreshed.
