Unfortunately the parking validation ruined my experience at this Center.
The management is stringent on parking validation: they validate for a reduction of 20 minutes of parking time. The parking rate is expensive and in 20-minute period. The appt reminder text messages push patients to show up 15 mins before an appointment. I showed up on the recommended time. I checked with the receptionist, the answer was don’t come in early.
This needs to be improved in favor of the patients.
This department is the only department at Scripps that I have ever had so much trouble with. Their process of booking appts. is problematic. Their processing of insurance is problematic. The manager, ELiza, does not call back when a patient leaves a message. The therapists are frustrated by her management. One of the front desk employees, Cesar, is not capable of handling multiple tasks at once. He is a nice guy, but out of his own inabilities he becomes frustrated an unable to handle certain requests. As others have said, it’s impossible to get through on the phone. Also, they don’t have adequate appointments available and weren’t able to get me in nearly enough after my hip surgery. Further, the PT pushed my hip
Into ranges of motion that were not appropriate for where I was at in my recovery. Ultimately my surgery failed and I had to have a revision. While I know there
were multiple factors leading to a failed surgery, sadly, the poor PT was the biggest one. I am going somewhere else after this most recent surgery, and it’s night and day.
