Everybody is like family there. Really well paced and oriented classes. When I first started the kickboxing classes it was very easy to find rhythm and not feel out of place or left behind. They gave me a lot of individual work and really made me feel at home and recognized. Would recommend this place for anyone. This is the place to go.

My kids and I have been going to SCMAC for over 6 years and the students and teachers are like family. I first signed up my son for Kempo karate when he was 9 years old. He is autistic and I wanted to help him get in his body through movement and learn self defense. At that time he was really struggling at school and having outbursts at school everyday. After practicing karate taught by Mr. Phil his outbursts became few and far between. After a few months , my eldest daughter started taking karate as well, and I started taking their kickboxing class. I'm a single mom and I have always felt supported by the staff at SCMAC. My family has been going here for over 30 years and now I've been here for almost 5 years. Best martial arts school I've ever studied at. Kenpo karate is very practical and the instructors are very knowledgeable and strive to help their students grow physically and mentally. This place has especially helped me stay out of trouble and surrounded me with good people that have influenced me to become a better person. I'd recommend this place to anyone who is looking into learning old school martial arts teachings.
