“This is from Linda's Husband Sam. Our chimney cap had blown off exposing the opening now subject to possible rain damage. Service man Ismael came and inspected the problem and informed me that they don't usually repair chimney caps. I showed him the metal cap that my grandson had rescued from the lawn. Since I'm disabled and can't walk outside, I didn't know about it and what to do. Better Roofing recently did an excellent job repairing other wind damage on the roof. I was beyond happy how they repaired everything. When I called this time and fortunately, for me they sent Ismael out. After seeing my distress, he offered to help. We found 4 metal screws that could anchor the cap on the chimney from ones I had on hand. He used my drill and he searched my toolbox and found the right socket to match the screws, then he went up and took care of it in a jiffy. For me he went above and beyond what I expect most service people to do. What a relief. Then it rained today. I don't think he knew how important what he did was for this old guy. Thank you.“

“Had our roof replaced by Hull & Sons in Riverside. Discovered that the old roof was a poor plank job and they had to lay plywood down. “Clean Initiate Solar installed the solar system at my house. I have an issue where the house battery doesn’t power the house when the grid power goes down, even though the house battery is charged.

The first time I called in, someone answered, and they responded with “we’ll check some diagnostics and call you back in 10 minutes.” They never called, and that was about 3 months ago. I’ve called them and left messages, and emailed, a total of about 20-30 times. They have not answered or respond since the first "we'll get back to you." I will be filing this review in as many forums I can, and with the Better Business Bureau, as a warning to other potential customers.

Update: after posting the review above several places, Clean Initiative immediately reached out, sent out a service tech, and fixed the problem. I'm going with 4/5 stars because there still appears to be no way to reach customer service without going to such drastic lengths, but now I'm happy with the solar installation.“
